Man drowns Saturday in Lake Livingston
LIVINGSTON - One man is dead and another has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after a boating accident on Lake Livingston sometime before 4 p.m. Saturday, according to reports from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. > Roy Dennis Patrick, 33, of Katy was being pulled behind a boat on Lake Livingston Saturday afternoon when he fell off and never resurfaced, according to Game Warden Ryan Hall. > The Polk County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about 3:08 p.m. > Saturday reporting the boating accident. Hall and fellow Game Wardens Brandon Mosley and David Johnson responded with rescue boats from Scenic Loop and Onalaska Volunteer Fire Departments. > Searchers confirmed the tuber was missing and believed drowned. > Hall said he suspected alcohol was involved in the accident and transported the driver of the boat, Russell Crantz, 44, of Houston, to Memorial Medical Center-Livingston for a mandatory blood draw. > "The subject was arrested for intoxication manslaughter after the victim's body was recovered at approximately 4:45 p.m. Saturday," Hall said.
