Repeal of telecommunications sales tax back up for discussion Tuesday
LIVINGSTON — Polk County Commissioners will continue deliberations on the proposed repeal of an exemption to sales tax for telecommunications services during a meeting set for 10 a.m. Tuesday. The item was tabled from the last meeting while officials clarified whether the new tax would offset property taxes. Commissioners also will consider a request from Pct. 1 Commissioner Bob Willis to accept roads in Commodore Cape Subdivision and received a notice from County Clerk that a lease of office space at 114 W. Church will not be renewed.
