Goodrich man hurt in crash

LIVINGSTON – A 28-year-old Goodrich man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident early Tuesday on FM 2969, seven-tenths of a mile west of Goodrich. Lauren Hill was driving a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck southbound when it traveled off the road to the right and the driver overcorrected to the left, according to Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Chris Stanbery. He said the pickup rolled at least twice, ejecting the driver, and then struck a tree. Hill was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, listed with incapacitating injuries. The accident occurred at 12:19 a.m. Information has also been received concerning a two-vehicle accident at 3:22 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, on Hwy. 146, two-tenths of a mile south of Livingston. A 1995 Ford Bronco driven by Kenneth Linn Dawson, 29, of Livingston was southbound. A 1993 Mercury Marquis driven by Adam Henry Hulett, 73, of Corrigan was southbound on the right shoulder. According to Trooper Brent Henry, Hulett observed his destination on the left and turned improperly to the left across Hwy. 146. The vehicles collided and both slid left, with Hulett’s car striking a telephone pole and a pine tree. Dawson, listed with possible injuries, and one of two passengers in his car, a 7-year-old female listed with non-incapacitating injuries, were taken to Memorial Medical Center- Livingston. Hulett was also taken by ambulance to the hospital, listed with possible injuries. He was cited for turning improperly.
