Polk County Enterprise - November 2008
LIVINGSTON — Police recovered a stolen vehicle Thursday and arrested the driver after officers learned a truck had been reported leaving McDonalds restaurant with no tail lights, according to Livingston Police Department spokesman Lt. Matt Parrish. Officer Ashley Brame stopped the vehicle and determined it had been stolen from International Fertilizer out of Grimes County and arrested Ben Curtis Stoglin of Taylor, Texas. LPD officers also arrested a Livingston man Thursday after receiving a tip that illegal narcotics were being sold in the Cemetery Hill area. Officers went to a residence in the 1900 block of South Washington and were given a consent to search the house. A total of 6.8 ounces of marijuana packaged to sell was found in a bedroom along with prescription medicines that had not been prescribed for the occupant of the residence. Talisha Nicole Miller, 28, of Livingston was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, a state jail felony and possession of a dangerous drug.
