arrant showed photographs taken in the women’s restroom of a Lufkin store stored on a cell phone belonging to Nathan Scott Kesler, 35, of Livingston, he was arrested by Lufkin police Wednesday on three counts of improper photography. Kesler, a music minister at an Apostolic church in Livingston, also worked as manager of the Dollar King at 501 S. Timberland Drive in Lufkin. A female employee found a cell phone on a shelf in the women’s restroom “positioned in such a way that it would record her with the built-in camera,” according to a report by KTRE news posted Wednesday. The woman also told police she saw Kesler enter and leave the restroom. “It was using an application on the phone that treated the camera as a motion activated camera,” said Det. J.B. Smith of Lufkin Police Department. “When it sense motion it captured an image — several images in a row — of the person in the room.” Detectives obtained a search warrant for the contents of the phone delivered by the employee. Investigators said the images included two female employees, a child and Kesler placing the phone in the restroom. Detectives also obtained a search warrant for all electronic evidence from Kesler’s home and vehicles. Two laptops were taken during the related searches. He was arrested at the store at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and had been released bail totaling $60,000 as of Friday. Detectives are working to identify the child and other victims shown in the photos.
