LIVINGSTON — Two men wanted for a Harris County murder were arrested in Livingston early S a t u r d a y m o r n i n g after they a l l e g e d l y stole a truck and drove it into the Polk’s Pick It Up store on U.S. 59 South in Goodrich, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Offi ce. Dispatchers were initially notifi ed of a fi ght in the store’s parking lot at 3:20 a.m. Saturday. When deputies arrived, witnesses told them two while males identifi ed as William Erickson and Eugene Holland had assaulted a black male and stolen his truck. Witnesses said Erickson attempted to run over the truck owner in the parking lot. The victim went into the store for safety and Erickson drove the vehicle through the front glass door, hitting the man and breaking his leg, according to Det. Christi Allen. The victim said he had stopped to get something to eat before heading to work. Erickson and Holland were arrested for aggravated robbery and Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace set bail at $100,000 each. Other charges are pending, awaiting damage assessment on the store. Deputies later learned that both men are suspects in a murder that occurred in Harris County a few hours prior to the robbery. |
