Hunter dies of gunshot wound

LIVINGSTON — A fatal shooting that occurred in east Polk County near the Tyler County line while three men were hunting Saturday is under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. The victim was identified as Milton Celestine, 71, of Livingston, said Captain Rickie Childers of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses said Celestine and two other males were hunting when one of them was unloading the weapon and it discharged, killing Celestine. His body was sent to Jefferson County for an autopsy. Once the investigation is complete it will be referred to the Polk County District Attorney’s Office.
