PCSO: Houston man drowned
Polk County Enterprise - October 2009
LIVINGSTON — Campers at the Lake Tombigbee Campground on the Alabama- Coushatta Indian Reservation found the body of a 43-year-old man floating in the lake at about 3:38 p.m. Sunday, according to Capt. Rickie Childers of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division. Investigators identified the victim as Ismael Valdez, a Houston resident who had been staying at the campground with friends. Valdez had been reported missing earlier Sunday morning. Valdez’s body was sent to the Jefferson County Morgue for an autopsy. “Everything at this time points to an accidental drowning pending the final autopsy report,” Childers said. “No foul play is suspected.”
