LISD to weigh logo use, ag truck purchase
LIVINGSTON — Among the items on Monday’s agenda for the Livingston Independent School District Board of Trustees is a request from Pel Industries to use the LISD logo for marketing Wal-Mart products. The board is also set to consider quotes for a new truck to be used by the Vocational Agriculture Department. The board also will discuss and possibly approve an absolute sale to the highest bidder on property conveyed to Polk County as Trustee by a Sheriff’s deed for unpaid taxes. Other items on Monday’s agenda include: •Adding Pennee Hall to the list of Certifi ed Appraiser in conjunction with her move from assistant athletic director to human resources director. • Approval of the FIRST rating for the 2009-2010 school year. • Approval of a resolution authorizing the board president to execute a letter of waiver for payment in lieu of taxes for the Livingston Housing Authority. • Consider accepting personal property donations. • Consider approval of overnight and proposed outof- country trips. • Approve new School Health Advisory Council members for the current year. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at 1412 S. Houston St., Livingston.
