Livingston council to hear plans for water plant expansion
LIVINGSTON – The Livingston City Council will hear a presentation from Klotz Associates engineeers and and Trinity River Authority (TRA) staff.on a proposed expansion of the water treatment plant during a meeting Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. at City Hall. Other agenda items include: • Consider authorization for the TRA to retain an engineering firm to proceed with the design and preparation of construction documents for the proposed improvements. • Bid award for the re-plaster project of the Matthews Street Park swimming pool as per bid opening of Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. Consideration of the following proposed resolutions: • Endorsing and supporting the principle of fair and open housing. • Authorizing the Mayor to execute a Letter of Waiver for payment in lieu of taxes for the Livingston Housing Authority. The council will consider and appoint a director for the Sam Rayburn Municipal Power Agency to fill the 2011-13 term. Also, two pay estimates are up for approval: Estimate #1 of NTS Generator Installation Project in the amount of $57,786.40 for the GLO Disaster Recovery Project (Formerly TDRA Disaster Recovery Project), and Estimate #1 of McKinney & McMillan, LLC for construction and installation of debris diversion facilities at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the amount of $20,150.10, also for the GLO Disaster Recovery Project. The city manager’s report on current projects and events will end the open session.
