Youth Sports Volunteer Arrested for Child Porn, Sex Assault

LIVINGSTON — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested David Leroy Shannon, 46, of Livingston Wednesday on felony charges of sexual assault of a child and possession of child pornography. Polk County Sheriff's Office and the Polk County District Attorney’s Office are continuing to investigate allegations of child sexual abuse. Detectives have learned that Shannon has been involved with local youth sports organizations.
