Houston woman hurt in one-car accident
LIVINGSTON – A 30-yearold Houston woman was taken by air ambulance to a Houston hospital Monday after sustaining serious injuries during a one-car accident near Leggett. Tiffany Nicole Adams was seriously injured and was trapped inside her wrecked car for about an hour before being transported from the scene by a PH1 helicopter. According to Trooper Allen Stanton of the Texas Highway Patrol, the mishap occurred about 1 p.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 59 south of Leggett. Adams was traveling north in a 2007 Pontiac Solstice when the car drifted to the right and hit the rumble strip. Stanton said she apparently over corrected to the left, crossed over the southbound lanes and drove off the embankment before hitting a tree. Adams was removed from the car by members of the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department.
