Alcohol contributed to crash into concrete pillar Thursday, LPD report says
LIVINGSTON — An Onalaska woman was traveling west in an eastbound lane of traffic on the Hwy. 59 North service road when her vehicle hit a concrete pillar under the Hwy. 59 overpass, according to a crash report by Sgt. Darrell Newman of the Livingston Police Department. The crash occurred at 8:08 p.m. on Dec. 27 when Tammy Ann Wise, 48, of Onalaska was traveling north on the Hwy. 59 north service road in a 1996 grey GMC 1500 pickup, Newman said. She turned left into the eastbound lane of traffic, traveling west. She was charged with driving the wrong way on a one way street and a blood sample was taken to determine if Wise was intoxicated at the time of the crash. Newman listed alcohol as a possible contributing factor in the crash as well as turning when it was unsafe. The report also notes it was raining at the time of the wreck. |
