Man killed in crash Monday
LIVINGSTON – A 55-year-old Livingston man was pronounced dead at the scene of a collision at 8:50 p.m. Monday on FM 3277, one mile south of FM 2457. The deceased, Randy Lee Harrington, was driving a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound and collided with a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Michael Clay-Brit Jones of Livingston, according to Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Ramey Bass. The investigation indicated Jones was northbound and failed to yield right of way when attempting to turn left into a private driveway, causing the motorcycle to strike the pickup truck. The impact ejected Harrington from the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead by Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace David Johnson and his body was taken to Cochran Funeral Home. Charges are pending further investigation. Bass was assisted at the scene by DPS Sgt. Sammy Lattner, Trooper William Clark and sheriff's deputies. The Scenic Loop VFD also responded.
