DPS: Unsafe speed caused rollover crash
LIVINGSTON – Three people were injured in a one-vehicle accident June 13 on Sunflower Road in eastern Polk County. A 2002 Dodge pickup truck driven by Jessica Love Navaro, 28, of Livingston was eastbound and entered a left curve at an unsafe speed, according to Trooper Chad Seamans. The vehicle skidded sideways into a ditch on the north side of the road and flipped multiple times, coming to rest upright. Navaro, listed with incapacitating injuries, was transported by medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Two passengers, 24-yearold Danny Allen Davidson and 30-year-old Keith Leon Stutts, were listed with nonincapacitating injuries and were taken by ambulance to the Livingston hospital. Navaro was cited for unsafe speed in connection with the accident, which occurred at 7 p.m. Earlier that day, at 2:30 p.m., Trooper Allen Stanton investigated a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 190, fourtenths of a mile east of FM 2457. A 2000 Dodge Durango driven by Mathew Dylan Evers, 22, of Livingston was westbound in the righthand lane when the front left tire blew out. The blowout caused the vehicle to cross into the left-hand lane, where it struck a westbound 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Denna Elizabeth Allemang. Allemang, listed with possible injuries, was transported by ambulance to the Livingston hospital. A 5-year-old passenger in her car, as well as Evers, was listed as uninjured. Evers was not charged. Allemang was ticketed for driving while license invalid and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
