Autopsy ordered in 'questionable' death
LIVINGSTON – Investigators were awaiting the results of an autopsy before ruling on the death of a 54-year-old Livingston man found in his residence Monday by family members. The body of Anthony Malveaux was found shortly before noon in his mobile home, located off FM 350 just north of U.S. Highway 190. "Right now we're waiting on the results of an autopsy to determine how he died," said Capt. Rickie Childers of the Polk County Sheriff's Department. "Until we can get that report, we cannot rule out anything." Childers said Malveaux was known to have suffered from health problems but added there were some "questionable" circumstances surrounding the death. The body was transported to the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office in Houston and Childers said he hoped to have a preliminary report by Tuesday afternoon. "With all the bad weather, I don't know if the medical examiner is performing autopsy's today, so it could very well be tomorrow or even Thursday before we get the report," the captain said Tuesday morning. In the meantime, Childers said investigators were interviewing family members, friends and others who may have been to Malveaux's residence recently. Texas Ranger Ron Duff is assisting with the investigation.
