WILLIS—The Livingston Lady Lions defeated South Houston 10-0 to finish with two wins and three losses in recent tournament action at Willis. The Lady Lions started the tournament with a pair of one run losses against Coldspring (4-3) and Tarkington (9-8) in first round action. The Lady Lions had out hit both teams, but costly errors attributed to the losses. Livingston finished on the winning side of a one run ballgame in second round action by defeating Klein Collins 4-3. They ended the day by dropping a 3-0 decision to the host team of Willis. "The team played great against Klein Collins," commented Lady Lion head coach Katrina Thornton. "They had already hit 12 homeruns for the year, but we held them really well. I thought we had great outings from both our pitchers (Hallie Smith and Savannah Crawford)."
