Arrest made in 2 holdups

MOSCOW -- A 62-yearold Corrigan man linked to last month's armed robbery in Moscow was arrested after allegedly returning to rob the same gas station Wednesday night. Ronnie Floyd Reherd was being held on two counts of aggravated robbery and an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge in connection with the June 26 and July 12 armed robberies of the Valero convenience store in Moscow. He remained in the Polk County Jail on Friday under bonds of $75,000 each on the robbery charges and $30,000 on the assault charge. During the first robbery, a masked man armed with a rifle entered the store shortly before 10 a.m. and robbed the female clerk. He then reportedly fled the scene on foot to evade an arrest that night. On July 12, a witness observed the robbery that also occurred at around 10 p.m. and notified law enforcement officers the suspect had left the scene in a truck. The bandit was followed to a Corrigan residence where he was detained by the Corrigan Police Department pending the arrival of Polk County deputies. During their search of the residence, detectives reportedly found evidence linking Reherd to both robberies in Moscow. The two robberies remain under investigation by Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives.
