LIVINGSTON -- Tickets for Childrenz Haven's 2018 Roaring 20s themed casino night fundraiser are selling fast but are still available to those who wishing to support the victims of child abuse and their families. Set for 5:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Polk County Commerce Center, the event will include table games, a live auction, door prizes, music and dancing and a steak dinner prepared and served by the Trinity Masonic Lodge #14 of Livingston. During the fundraisers, participants can try their hand at Texas hold-em, Black Jack, roulette and craps with three winners who end the night with the most chips winning Visa gifts cards of $2,000 for first, $1,000 for second and $500 for third. Then push the fundraising to the limit as auctioneer, the Honorable Clarke Evans, handles the calls for premier Rockets tickets, a 9 mm Glock pistol, an original Sydney Murphy painting, hand-carved knife set, Cho-Yeh day camp session, "Cooking with Marty Drake" and much more. Attendees will then have an opportunity to buy their dessert from some of Polk County's best loved cake, cookie and brownie bakers. They may buy them to take home, get them for their table table or pool funds and eat them after dinner. The desserts will not be a part of an auction; just pick, pay, enjoy. A new addition this year will be chip and drink servers, so players can refill and refresh without losing their seats or momentum. Sponsor support increases the profit to Childrenz Haven. To date, $1500 Table Sponsors include First Community Financial Group, Hendrix Machinery, Kari Allen, Livingston Pediatrics Clinic, Polk County Abstract, and Premier Autoplex; $1000 Winners Sponsors are Naskila Gaming, Grease Monke, and Best Air; $775 Photo Booth Sponsors are Attorney Travis Kitchens; and $500 Chip Sponsors include First National Bank and Church Street Financial Services. Additionally, Veronica Cuevas, an event decorator extraordinaire, is donating her magic to transform the Commerce Center. Tickets for the event are $75 per person, $140 per couple or $700 for a table of 10 and include $1,000 in gambling chips and the steak dinner. Beer for $3 and wine for $5 will be available via a ticket purchase. Players can purchase additional chips at $25 for 1,000 or $100 for 7000. All proceeds help Childrenz Haven, a Texas Child Advocacy Center, meet the increasing need for support and counseling to victims of child-abuse and their families throughout and after the legal process. For this one night only the dealers will be in the players' corner at Childrenz Haven's 2018 Roaring 20s Casino Gala. Call Childrenz Haven at (936) 327-4757 for ticket information or to become a Casino Gala sponsor. Tickets also may be purchased online at http:// www.childrenzhaven.org.
