Commissioners Court Holds Workshop

LIVINGSTON – Polk County County Commissioners will hold a special workshop meeting at 9 a.m. Monday, August 27 to discuss an optional one-cent sales tax. The workshop, during which commissioners will not take any decisive actions, is slated to include discussion of revision to subdivision regulations relating to recent legislative changes, the process of adopting and deleting roads in the county road system, and right of way clearing on county roads in Precinct 2.
Commissioners will consider amending the county's order for on-site sewage facilities relating to recent legislative changes, the use of gates on county roads and allowances for cell phones.
Also on the agenda is a petition from Big Thicket Lake Estates Property Owners Association regarding certain subdivision roads.
