Three killed at 'deadly' intersection

GOODRICH – Three Shepherd residents were killed in an early morning accident on U.S. 59 at FM 2665 in Goodrich.
A 1993 Dodge Ram driven by Francisco Gonzalez, 48, was westbound on FM 2665 at approximately 12:24 a.m. when the driver failed to stop at the intersection with U.S. 59.
An 18-wheeler driven by John Doherty of Conroe struck the pickup at the driver's door killing three of the four occupants.
Pronounced dead at the scene were Franciso Gonzalez, Sherry Debbee, 18, and Phyllis Martin, 42, all of Shepherd.
A four passenger, Robert Rogers, 46, was taken via LifeFlight helicopter to Memorial Hermann hospital in Houston with serious injuries.
