Crimestoppers seeking info on church vandalism
Polk County Enterprise - December 2007

LIVINGSTON – Polk County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a case of felony criminal mischief that occurred some time between Nov. 25 and Nov. 28 at the Jones Prairie Baptist Church.
Damage, estimated at about $10,000, includes fire damage, according to Det. Stan Galloway of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Based on evidence found at the church, the incident is being investigated as a potential hate crime, Galloway said.
Detectives are also investigating a burglary in the Beech Creek subdivision that occurred Nov. 27, Galloway said.
A 200 Kawasaki four-wheeler and 16-foot low-boy trailer were taken. Suspects also broke into the house and took several firearms, Galloway said.
If you have any information on either of these incidents, contact Polk County Crime Stoppers at 936-327-(STOP) and you could receive a cash reward if information leads to the arrest and grand jury indictment of the person or persons involved.
