Reward offered for info on fires

LIVINGSTON — Polk County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information on two suspicious fires on Galloway Road Jan. 10 and 11.
Anyone who may have seen unusual activity or suspicious persons on or near the unoccupied property owned by L&M Properties of Livingston is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (936) 327-STOP.
The pair of fires destroyed three buildings and remain under investigation by Det. Stan Galloway of the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Polk County Fire Marshall Jay Barbee.
PCSO also is continuing to probe a burglary of a residence at 2239 FM 1988 in Goodrich between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Jan. 14, Det. Galloway said.
"The suspect entered the residence and stole several rifles and a large amount of women's and men's jewelry," Galloway said.
The theft of a 1998 Yamaha Grizzly four-wheeler was reportedly taken Jan. 14 from a deer lease north of Corrigan on U.S. 59 near the county line at the Neches River Bridge. The ATV is gray in color.
A break-in also occcurred at Red Barn Builders Supply on Hwy. 146 south of Livingston sometime during the night of Jan. 18-19.
The suspect drove the vehicle through the fence on the south side of the building and took $1,400 worth of HardiPlank siding.
Burglars struck the Lake Livingston State Park Store on the night of Jan. 12-13, PSCO reports show. The suspect entered the store through a window and took about $500 in cash.
