LIVINGSTON – Trustees of the Livingston Independent School District will hold their regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m., March 24 at the Livingston ISD Administration Building at 1412 S. Houston St. Among the items to be covered is the cancellation of the May 10 Board Election. Board members Bea Ellis, Jeff Galloway and Ben R. Ogletree III have all fi led for re-election and are running unopposed, making an election unnecessary.
Board members will receive an activity report on the collection of delinquent taxes in the amount of $40,708, which leaves $1,554,754 outstanding. Campus police will report on monthly incident totals for all campuses – including disorderly conduct, fighting, minor in possession of tobacco or alcohol, assault, theft or prohibited weapons.
Trustees will consider the adoption of Kindergarten through fifth grade math textbooks, the approval of new courses for the 2008-2009 school year, and the approval of sale of property acquired by sheriff’s seizure. Acceptance of the resignation of professional personnel and approval of the hiring of professional personnel will round out the meeting.
