Search for missing girl now getting assistance from FBI

ounty Sheriff’s Offi ce has asked for assistance from the FBI in locating a missing Goodrich teen, according to Capt. Rickie Childers of the Criminal Investigation Division. Detectives have interviewed a number of co-workers, friends and family of Daisy Machuca, but she hasn’t been seen since March 16. Machuca is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs between 140 and 150 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen at about 1 a.m. at her home in the 300 block of Gettysburg in the Shiloh Ridge subdivision. She was wearing blue jeans, a gray shirt and black tennis shoes.

There are no concrete indications of foul play and there has been some recent usage of her cell phone, according to Childers. S e v e r a l subpoenas have been i s s u e d s e e k i n g additional information a b o u t Machuca’s location and well-being. PCSO has submitted information to several H o u s t o n broadcast media outlets in hopes that someone may have seen the young woman and will contact the sheriff’s department at (936) 327-6810 or Polk County Crime Stoppers at (936) 327-STOP. Machuca worked at Pueblo Viejo in Livingston up until the time of her disappearance and has not made contact with co-workers there either, Det. Stan Galloway said.
