Onalaska declares 120-day mobile home moratorium within city limits

ONALASKA — City officials voted to impose a 120-day moratorium to defi ne the requirements of mobile/manufactured homes or recretational travel trailers and motor homes located or parked within the city. The ordinance directs the city to study existing development regulations applicable to real property in the area and the affect on the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Onalaska.

Onalaska Police Department reported offi cers had made four felony arrests during March; 26 misdemeanor arrests, issued 284 citations and assisted the sheriff’s department on 33 calls. A total of 69 warrants were issued by OPD during the month and 49 warrants were cleared. The next meeting of the Onalaska City Council is May 8.
