Trinity County Fair & Youth Livestock Show wraps up another good year

GROVETON – The 2010 Trinity County Fair & Youth Livestock Show had another good year as it came to an end Saturday night at the Show Barn at the “Y”. There was approximately $139,000 in sales from 176 animal projects. The concession stand brought in about another $16,300. The Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion are listed below with the name of the exhibitor, club, buyer and price. Grand Champion Steer, was shown by Keely Snyder of Groveton FFA and purchased by Joe Ned Dean for $3,800. Grand Champion Lamb was shown by Ashley Rhodes of Apple Springs Jr. FFA and purchased by Apple Springs Buyers Group for $1,050. Grand Champion Goat was shown by Mikayla Davidson of Apple Springs Jr. FFA and purchased by Apple Springs Buyers Group for $950. Grand Champion Swine was shown by Brady Bauer of Trinity Jr. FFA and purchased by Stevenson Distributors for $1,075. Grand Champion Commercial Heifers was shown by Tyler Rosser of Groveton FFA and purchased by Old Indian Club for $2,000. Grand Champion Broilers were shown by Kale Rosser of Groveton 4-H and purchased by Old Indian Club for $600. Grand Champion Fryers were shown by Taylor May of Centerville 4-H and purchased by Citizens State Bank for $500. Reserve Champion Steer was shown by Devin Gentry of Groveton FFA and purchased by Old Indian Club for $2,400. Reserve Champion Lamb was shown by Kaleena Reeves of Groveton FFA and purchased by Maddux Lumber for $760. Reserve Champion Goat was shown by Lacey Driskell of Groveton FFA and purchased by Old Indian Club for $800. Reserve Champion Swine was shown by Jasper King of Groveton 4-H and purchased by Stevenson Distributors for $1,000. Reserve Champion Com-mercial Heifers was shown by Kacie Due of Groveton FFA and purchased by Forestry Supply/Texas Timberjack/Davis Insurance for $3,550. Reserve Champion Broilers were shown by Thomas Bullard-Loitz of Trinity 4-H and purchased by Brookshires-Trinity for $650. Reserve Champion Fryers were shown by Haley Mott of Centerville 4-H and purchased by Centerville Buyers Group for $750.
