Local intern begins new DPS program for trooper recruits
Groveton News - July 2007
Dr. Don Renchie will lead an all day training Tuesday, July 10 at the Red Barn in Lufkin. The first day will cover the General and Laws and Regs part of the Pesticide Applicators Exam.
Then on Wednesday, July 12, Dr. Mark Matocha will conduct a specific training for right-of-way in the morning at the Angelina County Extension office. A TDA representative will be on hand to give any tests in the afternoon.
Cost for materials and instruction is $100. Now training is NOT required before testing for a commercial/non-commercial license. With enough prior notice, TDA representative can give any test, if he just knows ahead of time.
To register for this training/testing or for more information, contact Brenda Marsh with Ag and Environmental Safety 979-845-1099.
If you are interested in becoming a commercial applicator, or wanting general training, or needing to take private applicator test, these days may be of great help.
