Groveton News - July 2007
As of July 1, 2007, Bro. Lee Brinkman is the new preacher at the Groveton Church of Christ. This follows the retirement of Bro. Neil Kemper’s forty plus years at that position.
Bro. Brinkman was born in Binghamton, NY. He gained his education at Susquehanna Valley High School in Conklin, NY and Northwestern Christian College in Villanova, PA.
He has served as the preacher for the Church of Christ in Caroline, NY; Endwell, NY; Ingleside, TX; Bradford, PA; Anahuac, TX; Lubbock, TX; and in Trinity, TX from 1997-2006.
His other work experience includes working for a funeral home in New York State, holding gospel meetings and youth meetings in various states, and teaching school in Anahuac, TX.
Bro. Brinkman has a great interest in the youth of any congregation and the community, as well as interest in radio and other related programs. He began a telephone community outreach called “Dial-A-Lift” in three congregations. He also started a “Bible Box” program during worship for the youth in his last two congregations. Bro. Brinkman states that he most wants to be of help to everyone, and especially for those who are hurting and troubled.
We cordially invite you to come join in worship with us. Please welcome Bro. Lee Brinkman to the community as he begins his work here! You may also view more information on our website at www.groveton churchofchrist.org.
