Pct. 4 Constable and U. S. Forest Service Officer arrest, charge man in Meth bust

CENTERVILLE -- On Tuesday April 1 Pct 4 Constable Kent Blanchard and US Forest Service Officer Henry Smith made a felony drug bust. This occurred at approximately 2:00 pm on the Centerville Cut Off Road.
Earlier in the day Officer Smith had contacted Blanchard requesting his assistance.  Blanchard said that he and Smith were traveling down FM 233 heading to an undisclosed location to conduct an unrelated criminal investigation.  When he and Smith turned off of FM 233 onto the Centerville Cut Off Road they observed a suspicious truck stopped in the roadway.
Blanchard and Smith stopped to investigate and found the truck occupied by Brandon McMullen and another white male passenger. The occupants had a loaded rifle in
the truck and both appeared to be very nervous.  Blanchard asked McMullen to step out of the vehicle. After interviewing the subject, Blanchard determined that McMullen was under the influence of an illegal intoxicating substance, and McMullen was placed under arrest.  A subsequent search produced two small bags of white substance found in McMullen's possession. These tested positive for meth-amphetamine. Also found during the search were three hypodermic syringes that are commonly used to inject methamphetamine.
Constable Blanchard stated that although the investigation is ongoing, McMullen has been charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine.
