William Truss named “Citizen of the Year”

   Trinity County Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet was held on April 10.  Charles Lee and crew prepared an excellent meal and Dee Queen, serving as master of ceremonies kept the mood lighthearted.
   Walter Diggles, executive director of Deep East Texas Council of Governments was the speaker.  He emphasized accountability, responsibility, and teamwork.
   Service awards were presented to several including Doris Meshell, Cindy Jones, Marjorie Hill, Ann Watson, and Andy Wilson.  Bill Rasbeary, Glen Ward, and Larry Small were not present but will receive certificates.
   William Truss was presented a plaque as “Citizen of the Year”.  He is well known for using his music ability and his plumbing skills to assist whenever possible.
   New Board members recently elected were Kimberly Snyder, Brandy Welker, Cristin Cartwright, Cory Capps, Rita Danford, and Kathy Nors-worthy.
