On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2009 a man attempted to enter a Dayton house and was met by the owner of the home. Richard Wells killed the intruder, Jack Aaron Jackson, 19-years-old attempted to enter the home and was killed by a gunshot wound as Wells shot him in the chest. Dayton Police Chief Pete Douzat states the case is still under investigation and will go to the grand jury soon.
Sergeant Doug O’Quinn, of the Dayton Police Department, reports that Jackson was originally from Baytown, but had moved to Dayton within the last month.
