Big Thicket Messenger - June 2008

The two top graduates for the Class of 2008 at Shepherd High School are Alana Porter and Kingsley Franklin.
Porter is a graduating junior with 18 college hours already earned. She plans on attending Sam Houston State University, majoring in agri-business and will complete her program with an equine chiropractic license. During her high school career, she has been active in the High School Rodeo Association where she runs barrels. She participated two years in the Pirate Drill Team and has shown animals in the San Jacinto County Fair.
Franklin plans on attending Texas A&M University where he wants to study business. During his high school career he participated in numerous UIL activities.
Commencement services will be held on Saturday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Pirate Stadium on the high school campus.
