Suspect arrested
Big Thicket Messenger - March 2007
The Liberty County Sheriff’s Department recently made an arrest of a suspect who reportedly had broken into business locations in Moss Hill.
Joseph Cambiaso was arrested as he exited Simply Country Café in Moss Hill, after he had broken the glass front door to gain entry and attempted to open the safe with a pry bar. He was arrested when he came out of the building wearing a mask and carrying the bar.
Liberty County Sheriff Greg Arthur reports that there were four other incidents of burglaries in Moss Hill during the last month, three at the Fitzpak convenience store and on other at the Simply County Café.
He reports that his office was able to see a pattern in the incidents so they set up surveillance in the area. Cambiaso was arrested on the first night without incident.
Cambiaso was charged with three other counts of burglary of a building, and arraigned before Judge Bobby Rader. This is a State Jail Felony. He could possibly face up to two years on each count.
