April Luncheon
Big Thicket Messenger - May 2007
The Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce annual Secretaries-Bosses luncheon will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at the Immaculate Conception Church Marian Hall.
This annual event will be honoring office workers, or according to the calendar, Administrative Professional’s Day!
This luncheon is always lots of fun and this year promises to be no different. All office workers, or all persons who meet the public on behalf of their business or their employer are recognized for the important jobs they perform. These workers directly represent their establishment and their hard work and courtesy to the public, as well s to each other, has a great bearing on the quality of the business and the image it projects to its customers. This day is set aside specifically to honor these professionals, and is certainly well-deserved.
Over the years, Administrative Professionals Week has become one of the largest workplace observances. The event is celebrated worldwide, bringing together millions of people for community events, educational seminars, and individual corporate activities recognizing support staff with gifts of appreciation.
Generous area businesses and individuals are once again donating door prizes for many of our lucky honorees to win. (In addition, there will be one or two gifts for bosses to win as well.) For door prizes, ahead of time, please print your name on the back of the ticket and drop it in the basket at the door. Only one prize per person, and you must be present to win.
The menu will be catered by Ken Owens, who will prepare his excellent Chicken Alfredo, along with beans or steamed vegetables, bred sticks, drink, carrot cake or cheese cake. Cost is $12.00.
Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling (936) 336-5736 or e-mail: chamber@imsday.com.
