Virginia Joyce Stokes
             Visitation for Virginia Joyce Stokes, 69, of Lumberton was held Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee from 2 – 6 p.m. Services will be announced at a later date.
            Mrs. Stokes died Monday, March 17 in Tyler County.
            A native of Lawton, OK, Joyce was a longtime resident of Lumberton. She was a retired beautician and loved to paint.
            Survivors include her daughter Maurie Racy and husband, Joe of Spurger; granddaughter, Brandy Racy of Spurger; brothers, Johnny Engle of Spring, Dale Wood and Robert Wood, both of Lawton, OK; and several other extended family members.
            Services were under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.

Walter Dwayne Stokes
            Visitation for Walter Dwayne Stokes, 67, of Lumberton was held Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Farmers Funeral Home in Silsbee from 2 – 6 p.m. Services will be announced at a later date.
            Mr. Stokes died Monday, March 17 in Tyler County.
            A native of Rayville, LA, Dewayne was a longtime resident of Lumberton. He was retired from MeadWesvaco and was a Vietnam War Veteran.
            Survivors include his daughter Maurie Racy and husband, Joe of Spurger; granddaughter, Brandy Racy of Spurger; brother, Andrew Stokes of Rayville, La; and several other extended family members.
            Services were under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.

Mykell Leanne Racy
            Visitation for Mykell Leanne “Mykee” Racy, 8, of Spurger was held Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. A service will be announced at a later date.
            Mykee died Monday, March 17 in Tyler County.
            A native of Beaumont, Mykee was a lifelong resident of Spurger. She was in 2nd grade at Spurger Elementary and was involved in 4-H.
            Survivors include her parents, Joe and Maurie Racy of Spurger; sister, Brandy Racy of Spurger; grandparents, Jenny and Willie Racy of Kansas; Uncle Eric and Aunt Lori of Tomball; Aunt Denise and Uncle Jeff, both of Kansas and several great aunts, great uncles and other extended family members.
            Services were under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.

Mattie Lorene Hughes Riley 
  Mattie Lorene Hughes Riley, 80, of Colmesneil passed away March 28, 2008 at her residence.
 Born May 2, 1927 in Colmesneil, Tx to Jimmie and Ruby Durham Hughes, she and C.J. moved to Beaumont for a short while before moving back home to Colmesneil.  Mrs. Riley was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew and loved her.
  She is survived by her loving husband, C. J. Riley; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Butch Teel of Pasadena; sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and
  Sandra Riley of Houston and Jimmie and Susan Riley of Tomball; brother and sister-in-law, Jessie Dee and Ineece Hughes of Woodville; sister and brother-in-law, Josie and Billy Joe Greer of Alvin; grandchildren, Jason Teel and Yancy Teel both of Pasadena, Quentin Riley of Houston, Donna Riley of Kingwood, Christine Lake of Pompano Beach, FL and Travis Riley of Tomball; and five great grandchildren.
  Funeral service was held Monday, March 31, 2008, at 10 a.m. at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jessie Dee Hughes and Brother J. C. Smith officiating.  Burial followed at Colmesneil City Cemetery.  Visitation was held Sunday evening at the funeral home.
  Serving as pallbearers were Jason Teel, Yancy Teel, Quentin Riley, Razz Ronallo, Travis Riley, Taylor Teel, and Tyler Teel.

John William Miller
  John William Miller, 83, of Colmesneil passed away March 25, 2008 at his residence.
  Born November 18, 1924 in Port Neches, Tx to William and Verdie Davis Miller, he lived in Mid County for many years before moving to Colmesneil in 1984.  He worked for Dupont in refrigeration for 36 years.  He was a WWII Navy veteran, a Mason and a Shriner.
  He is survived by his loving wife, Mary G. Miller; daughter, Susan Duhon of Austin; son, Rodney Miller and wife, Susan of Groves; sister, Doris Breaux of Beaumont; grandchildren, John Allen and Amy Miller of Athens, Tiffiany and Craig LeBlanc of Bridge City, Damien Duhon and William and Angela Duhon all of Austin; and eight great grandchildren.
  Funeral service was held Thursday, March 27, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Williams officiating.  A Masonic Service was held at the funeral home after the service.  The flag was presented to the family by a nephew at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Chester in his uncle’s memory.  Visitation was held Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
  Honoring their grandfather, his grandchildren served as pallbearers.

James Carl 'J. C.' Mauer
 James Carl 'J.C.' Mauer, 70, of Warren passed away March 28, 2008 in Houston, Texas.
  Born May 3, 1937 in Beaumont, Tx to Henry and Gladys Seymore Mauer, he lived in lived in Beaumont for many years and was a proud graduate of French High School.  He moved to Warren 35 years ago.  Upon retiring from Levingston Ship Building, he became a true retiree.  He loved the Lord and his family with all of his heart.
  He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Conrad Mauer and a brother, William H. Mauer.
  He is survived by the loving wife, Jackie L. Mauer; his children, Terri L. Sims and husband, Scot of Orange, J. Martin Mauer and wife, Ana Maria of Trophy Club, Tx, Jason C. Mauer of Beaumont, Ana L. Murray of Smithville and Charles B. Murray of New York, NY; mother, Gladys Mauer of Beaumont; brothers, John F. Mauer and wife, Barbara of Lakeview, George A. Mauer and wife, Sandra of Wildwood and Robert Mauer and wife, Paulette of Grandberry; grandchildren, Traci and Dustin Fontenot, Julie Sims, Nicolas Mauer and Victoria Mauer.
  Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Chance Sims officiating.  Burial will follow at Village Mills Cemetery.  Visitation was held Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
  Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Mauer, Don Mauer, Hank Mauer, Keith Mauer, Kevin Mauer and Joe Dominick.
