MUNN
Thelma Mae Munn, 79, of Warren passed away July 9, 2011 at her residence. Born February 3, 1932 in Galveston, Tx to Henry and Hazel Vincent Basham, she lived in Port Arthur before moving to Warren many years ago. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gardner Munn. She is survived by her loving children, Linda Patton of Warren, Grace Townsend of Kirbyville and William Bainbridge of Warren; step children, Mary Jane Stock of Woodville and Barbara Bissette of North Carolina; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A graveside service was held Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Village Mills Cemetery with Brother Chance Sims officiating. Visitation was held Monday evening at the funeral home. Services were held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.

PHILLIPS
Robbie Louis Phillips, 92, of Hillister, p a s s e d a w a y , Sunday, July 10, 2011 at L u f k i n M e - m o r i a l Hospital in Lufkin, Texas. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 14 at 9:00 a.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Officiating was Dr. Raymond A. Parker. Serving as pallbearers were his grandsons. Visitation was held Wednesday, July 13 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Robbie was born July 12, 1918 to James Warren & Izora Allison Phillips in Hillister, Texas. He was a former resident of Port Neches and had lived in Hillister since 1987. He was retired from Texaco and was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corp veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Rose Phillips on August 13, 2007 and his son, Robert Michael “Mickey” Phillips in 1995. He is survived by his sons & daughters-in-law, Terry & Carlie Phillips of Port Neches and Kerry & Valerie Phillips of Culver City, CA; daughter, Lisa & Gary Edwards of Port Arthur; daughter-in-law, Donnah Phillips of Nederland; grandchildren, Robert Christopher & Treva Phillips, Scott & Amber Phillips, Khea Phillips, Melissa & Joel Bijeaux, LeeAnne & Cody Myers, Lindsay & Nathan Stanley, Amy & Jay Revia and Clint Edwards; and six great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to The Joe W. Elliott House, 220 Gene Samford Dr., Lufkin, Texas 75904. Services were under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville.

O'Dell
Phyllis Ann Lovett O’Dell , 79, of Dam B, TX, passed away Friday, July 8, 2011. The Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Monday July 11, 2011, at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, TX with Jeff Hardesty officiaiting. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery in Town Bluff. The pallbearers were Terry Godwin, Terry Firmin, John Johnson, Jeff Hardesty, Caid Chenoweth and Jason Ebarb. Mrs. O’Dell was born December 14, 1931, in Port Arthur at St Mary’s Hospital to L. H. and Hazel Louise (Carr) Thompson. Recently she was an avid Glen Beck Supporter as well as an amazing mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William O’Dell; son, Samuel Lawrence Lovett. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sherrie Gay Hardesty and husband Jeff Hardesty; and grandchildren, John Johnson and wife Shelby Johnson, and Mykil Hardesty and Scott Keilin. She is also sruvived by 4 great grandchildren Stella Johnson, Scout Johnson, Caid Chenoweth and Rylee Keilin as well as adopted son and daughter John & Regina. Lastly Mae Mae her dog and horse Earlie. Services were held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.

DEAN
Mary Ella Sheffield Dean, 66, of Lafayette, La. Passed away July 6, 2011 at her residence. Born July 15, 1944 in Emilee, Tx to Angus and Annie Webb Sheffield, she grew up in Tyler County before moving to Louisiana. She was a pharmacy technician. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Angela Dean and a son, Brett Dean. Survivors include her loving siblings, Annie Dubose Jenkins and husband, Bill of Woodville, A. J. Sheffield and wife, Shirley of Abbeyville, La, Clyde Sheffield and wife, Sandy of Warren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A grave side service was held Sunday, July 10, 2011, at 3 p.m. at the Ebenezer Cemetery near Colmesneil with Brother Larry Hoss officiating. Services were held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.

PUGH
Jessie Carr Pugh, 86, of Woodville passed away peacefully unto the Lord on July 9, 2011. Born June 27, 1925 in Mobile, Texas to George and Zula Mae Deggs Carr, she lived in Woodville for many years. She retired from Fairway as a clerk and was a member of the Dogwood Hills Baptist Church in Woodville. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Charles Wells of Nederland; sisters, Georgia Mae Dominy of Woodville, Barbara Reynolds and husband, Otis of Woodville; step granddaughter, Christi Wells; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Funeral service was held Monday, July 11, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Hayes officiating. Burial followed at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Woodville. Visitation was held Sunday evening at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers were Jonathan Phillips, James R. Phillips, Stevan Gelwicks, Jerry Yancey, Greg Kirkpatrick and George E. Carr. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of the Woodville Health and Rehab Center and the Tyler County Hospital for the love and care of their loved one. CORRY
Lois Godwin Corry, 98, of Huntington, Texas, formerly of Colmesneil, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2011 in Lufkin, Texas. Funeral services were held Friday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville with burial in Colmesneil Cemetery. Officiating were Reverend Glenda Guthrie, Reverend Jesse Hughes and Reverend Andy Salagaj. Serving as pallbearers were David Foster, Scott Foster, David Parish, Nathan Foster, Kyle Parish and Randy Gardner. Visitation was held on Thursday, July 7 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Lois was born May 31, 1913 to Frank & Addie Hairgrove Godwin near Shelbyville, Texas. Her early years were spent in the Buena Vista community and Paxton, TX, moving to Shreveport, LA as a teen, where she later was employed with the Washington Youree Hotel as head cashier for many years. In 1958, she moved with her husband to Houston, where they resided in the Northshore area. She was a member of Galena Park Assembly of God Church, where she and her family were very active. She was also active in the P.T.A. at Green Valley Elementary, North Shore Jr. High and North Shore High Schools receiving a Lifetime Membership Award. Upon her husband’s retirement, she moved to Colmesneil, TX where she became a member of Colmesneil Assembly of God Church. After her husband’s death, she moved to Huntington, TX to live with her daughter, Libby. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Franklin Lemon Oswald; husband, James R. Corry, Sr.; son-in-law, Peyton Foster and brother Bayard Godwin. She is survived by daughters, Mary Ann Foster of Colmesneil, Libby Parish & husband, David of Huntington, Barbara Corry and Gwen Corry both of Monroe, LA; sons, James R. Corry, Jr. & wife, Diane of Monroe, LA and Thomas Allen Corry & wife, Becky of Owasso, OK; grandsons, David Foster of Houston, Scott Foster of El Paso, Kyle Parish of Lufkin and Bryan Corry of Owasso, OK; granddaughter, Sandy Jackson of Skiatook, OK; great grandson, Nathan Foster of Houston; great granddaughters, Bonnie Hungerford of El Paso and Morgan Jackson of Skiatook, OK; great-great grandson, Sawyer Hungerford of El Paso; nieces, Beverly Reed of Romance, AR & Martha Godwin of Haughton, LA; numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Stephanie Sparks. Dennis Lee, 63, of Woodville, passed away, Sunday, July 4, 2011 at his residence in Crosby. Graveside services were held Wednesday, July 6 at 3:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery near Woodville. Officiating will be Pastor Carol Lee. Dennis was born June 21, 1948 to Audrey & Joyce Eaves Lee in Woodville, Texas. He was a retired pipeline coating foreman with Price-Gregory and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 624. He was preceded in death by his father, Audrey Lee. He is survived by his wife, Kim Marie Lee of Crosby; mother, Joyce Lee of Sulfur; brothers Roy Lee & wife Barbara, Robert Lee & wife Joe, sister Linda Moses; children, Angela Marie Lee & Kala Michelle Lee both of Crosby, Melissa Lee Hill of Nederland, Dennis Lee, Jr. & wife, Eillen, Denise Lee Bowley & husband, David and Laurie Lee Chambers & husband, Sam all of Lufkin; and eight grandchildren. Celestine
Funeral services for Nelson Jones Celestine age 64 of Livingston, Texas was held Monday July 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the First Texas Indian Baptist Church in Livingston with Rev. Ernest Best of Eufaula, Oklahoma officiating. Interment will follow in the Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Pallbearers are Kendall Williams, Colbert Williams, Levi Johnson, Casey Johnson, Burnett Langley, Anthony Celestine. Honorary Pallbearers are the Minister at Coushatta Baptist Church, Indian Baptist Mission, Alabama-Coushatta Indian Nation Volunteer Fire Department. He was born November 29, 1946 in Livingston, Texas the son of Vincent Celestine and Margaret Battise Celestine and passed away June 30, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by parents, Vincent Celestine and Margaret Battise Celestine, wife, Vivian Johnson Celestine, daughter, Rhonda Celestine, grandchildren, Felix Andrew Celestine and Brianna Celestine. Nelson enjoyed playing softball in his spare time. He was a member of the Indian Baptist Mission and the Rock of Ages Jail Ministry. He also served on the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Nation Volunteer Fire Department #5 and was a part of the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Housing Agency. Nelson is survived by Ramona Celestine, daughter, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Valerie Sylestine- Robinson and Curley Robinson, daughter and son-in-law, of Livingston, Texas, Gabriel and Susan Celestine, son and daughterin- law, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Bryant and Dawn Celestine, son and daughter-in-law, of Woodville, Texas, Sylvia Johnson, step-daughter, of Livingston, Texas, Sadler and Carol Celestine, brother and sister-in-law, of Alvin, Texas, Nancy Abbey, sister, of Livingston, Texas, grandchildren, Hailey Celestine, Connor Celestine, Joshua Celestine, Malachi Celestine, Vincent Celestine, Abigail Celestine, Makenzi Robinson, Marleigh Robinson, special friend, Emma Olachia, of Livingston, Texas.
