Terry Stephen Carter
            Funeral services for Terry Stephen Carter, 44, of Livingston, were held Thursday, June 5 at 2 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel.  Brother Jackson Colwell officiated the services. Interment followed in the Barge Cemetery.
            Mr. Carter was born April 27, 1964 in Beaumont to Genevieve (Barfield) and Delmer Carter, and died Sunday, June 1, 2008 in a Houston hospital.
            A former resident of Lufkin, he had resided in Livingston for eight years. He served in the U. S. Army, and managed several area grocery stores, totaling more than 20 years. Mr. Carter was of the Baptist faith.
            Survivors include his wife, Patricia “Pat” Carter of Livingston; sons, Quinton Carter of Lufkin, Jeremy Grimes of Silsbee, and Terry Lynn Carter of Woodville; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Rachel Carter of Washington; daughters, Lindsey Carter of St. Petersburg, Florida, Kayla Carter of Livingston and Christa Carter of Livingston; stepson and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Theresa Fisher of Lufkin; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Jeff Havard of Lufkin and Ashley and Joel Davis of Livingston; seven grandchildren; parents, Genevieve and Delmer Carter of Zavalla; brothers and sisters-in-law, Delmer A. “Dale”, Jr. and Deb Carter of Zavalla and Larry and Lynda Carter of Huntington; sister, Sylvia Moody of Zavalla; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Sonny Havard of Zavalla; and mother-in-law, Hazel Perkins of Liberty.
            The family welcomed friends and loved ones from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 at the funeral home.

Judith Pauline Hurst
            Judith Pauline Hurst, 75, of Warren, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at her residence.
            Funeral services were held Friday, June 6, at 3 p.m. at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Campground Cemetery.  Officiating was Reverend Chance Sims.  Serving as pallbearers were Charles MacGinnis, Jimmy MacGinnis, Tommy MacGinnis, Brian MacGinnis, Jason Waller and Ricky Dumesnil, Sr.
            Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
            Judith was born August 25, 1932 to Charles Monroe & Ruby Opal Wilcox Burge in Simpson, LA.  She was a longtime resident of Tyler County and was a retired nurse from Rusk Memorial Hospital.
            She was survived by her sons & daughter-in-law, Charles MacGinnis of Magnolia, Jimmy & Lisa MacGinnis of Woodville, Danny MacGinnis of Huntsville and Tommy MacGinnis of Warren; daughters & sons-in-law, Melva & Gene Morrell of Warren and Judy & Joe Macaluso of Spring; brother, Andrew Tribes of Nederland; sisters & brother-in-law, Betty & Leroy Nolen of Burkeville, Lawana Stilley and Pricilla Williams both of Orange; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and her aunt & God-Mother, Grace Nickelbrough of Beaumont.
            Services were under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville.

Marvin Fred Primrose
            Santa Fe – Marvin Fred Primrose, 80, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008. He was born on May 16, 1928 in Daisetta, Texas to V.G. Primrose and Cordia Odem. He served his country post World War II from 1946 to 1949 in the U S Air Force serving in the Philippines, Okinawa and Japan receiving the Army of Occupation Medal. Marvin worked as a superintendent for Valero in Houston from 1952 until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the C.F. Spencer Masonic Lodge in Pearland he loved to hunt and fish.
            Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Nell Primrose, parents and sisters; Kadie Ortego and Viola Carruthers. He is survived by his sons; Luke Primrose and wife Debbie of Santa Fe, Texas, Malcolm Primrose of Pearland, Texas, grandchildren Bridgett Primrose of New York, Barbara Ruddell and husband Jason of Manvel, Texas and Shawn Cravens of Webster, Texas. Also surviving Marvin are his numerous nieces and nephews.
            Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2008 at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to: CCA Texas – Alvin Pearland, Marvin Primrose Memorial, 6919 Portwest Drive, Suite 100, Houston, Texas, 77024.
            The family would like to thank the staff of the Light Heart Care Home for their wonderful care of Marvin during his time there.

Billy Jack Morris
 Billy Jack Morris, 70, of Pasadena passed away June 4, 2008.
            Born April 16, 1938 in Temple, Tx to the late Dean and Elizabeth Moore Morris, he lived most of his life in Pasadena.  He was a millwright for Simpson Paper Company.
            He is survived by his children, Cindy Hunt of Frenswood, Angela Epperly of San Antonio, John Morris of Livingston, Robert Morris and wife, Alicia of Austin, Richard Morris and wife, Ana Marie of Dallas and Pamela Wellman of Pasadena; sister, Sherra Kropel of Stone Mountain, Ga; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
            A graveside service was held Friday, June 6, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Bethany Cemetery in Colmesneil.  Visitation was held Thursday evening at the funeral home.
