Archie Lee Corn
Archie Lee Corn, 84, of Warren died on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at his son’s residence in Kirbyville. Archie was born in Lyra, Texas on February 29, 1924 to Oscar and Molly (Parson) Corn. He lived in Warren for more than 50 years and was a retired operator from the Allison Pole Mill in Warren. Archie also proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
Archie is survived by his sons Joe Anderson and wife Donna of Blanco, Oklahoma, Milton Anderson of Warren, Jimmy Corn and wife Lilly of Village Mills, Eastman Corn and wife Kathy of Warren, Archie Corn and wife Barbara of Kirbyville, Warren and Steve Williams of Kingstown, Texas; his daughters, Charlene Jordan and husband Lindy of Livingston, Doris King and husband Darrell of Warren; his brothers, Ralph Corn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bill Corn of Haileyville, Oklahoma and Bob Corn of Atwater, California; his sister, Ollie Davison of Hartshorne,Oklahoma; thirty-three grandchildren and forty great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will at 11a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008 at Broussard’s Chapel in Kountze with burial to follow at Village Mills Cemetery in Village Mills. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, Oct.14, 2008 from 5 p.m.. until 9 p..m. at the mortuary.

R. B. ‘Cot’ Yawn
R. B. “Cot” Yawn, 78, of Fred, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and worked for Texaco-Star Enterprise. . R. B. is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Betty Yawn; son, Ronnie Yawn and wife Vikki of Beaumont; daughter, Sheila Newell and husband Lane of Lumberton; grandchildren, Shane Ard and wife Lisa of Amarillo, Chad Ard and wife Christy of Lumberton, Josh Yawn of Beaumont, Cara Cheshire and husband Jason of Lumberton, and Gared McInnis and wife Stephanie of Houston; great grandchildren, Trevor and Tristan Ard, Courtney, and Chloe Ard, Alexie, Ashtyn, and Avery Cheshire, and Caidance McInnis; sisters, Geraldine Daniel and Joyce Ramirez and husband Joe all of Nederland; brother, Wayne Yawn and wife Bobbie of Nederland; sisters-in-law, Earmia Yawn and Jessie Yawn; and a host of nieces and nephews.
R. B. is preceded in death by his father and mother John and Lydia Yawn; daughter, Cobina Seiber; and brothers, Herman and Britt Yawn.
Funeral service were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Fred, Texas under the direction of Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, Texas with burial to follow at Frank’s Branch Cemetery in Fred. A gathering of family and friends was on Friday, Oct. 10, 2008 from 5 till 8 p.m.. at the mortuary.

Elizabeth Ann ‘Liz’ Thompson
Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Thompson, 47, of Colmesneil met our Lord Jesus Christ on October 8, 2008. Anxiously awaiting her arrival in Heaven were her daughter, Cassie Evonne Thompson, father, Wilbert Ernest Faircloth and sister, Betty Jeanette Falcon. Born July 15, 1961 in Woodville, Tx to Wilburn Ernest and Betty VanLue Faircloth, she lived in Tyler County all of her life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to all who knew and loved her.
Liz is survived by her loving husband, Jessie Thompson of Colmesneil; daughter, Carrie Elizabeth Rosado and husband, Robert of Dayton; grandchildren, Robert, Caeleigh and Elizabeth Rosado all of Dayton; mother, Betty Faircloth of Colmesneil; sisters, Linda Slaydon of Kirbyville, Joyce Wright of Santa Fe, NM, Carol Hoot of Corrigan, Ernestine Waters of Colmesneil; Kathy Williams of Kirbyville and Beverly Apodaca of Colmesneil; brother, Marvin Faircloth of Kirbyville; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 11, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jody Van Deaver officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Hope Cemetery near Chester. Visitation was held Friday evening at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers were Rowland Lee Dennis, Rowland Lee Denis, II, Ryan Aaron Dennis, Joe Belk, Jr., John Thomas Cox, Kevin Wayne Delcomyn.
Services were held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
Sheri Rae Womack
Sheri Rae Womack, 42, of Woodville, passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 in Woodville, Texas.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Woodville.
Sheri was born September 6, 1966 to Smith Wade, II and Sally Rae Lattin Richarson in Douglas, Wisconsin. She was an occupational therapy assistant at Dogwood Trails Manor Nursing Home. She was a ten year U.S. Army veteran, life member of NRA and member of Calvary Baptist Church. As a child she showed and rode horses in Australia. She was an avid hunter, homemaker and devoted wife.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally Rae Richardson. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Wayne Womack of Woodville; father and step-mother, Smith Wade, II and Nancy Richardson of Stillwater, OK; brother, Smith Wade Richardson, III of Austin; sister & brother-in-law, Sara and Ed Kelly of Falls Church, VA; six nieces and nephews.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville.
Helen Gladys Saunders
Helen Gladys Saunders 81, a native of Colmesneil passed away October 11, 2008 with family at her side.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sealy and Courtney Howell; brother, Bill Howell; sisters, Wilma Barclay and Marguerite Kirkland.
Survivors include her husband, William (Billy) Saunders of Colmesneil; sons Hansford Saunders of Beaumont, Phillip Saunders of Hurst, Robert Saunders of Beaumont, Paul Saunders of Colmesneil; daughters Brenda Chiappetta of Houston, Sherrie Ransonette of Beaumont, Rebecca Saunders of Bedford, Regina Heiner of Fort Davis; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel, 913 Hwy 190 west followed by burial at Sand Hill Cemetery near Colmesneil, off Hwy 255.
A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Helen’s life was held on Monday at Riley Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Lavelle Dear, age 89, of Livingston will be held Friday, October 3, 2008 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, with Bro. Bill Jackson officiating, interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Wilkinson, Greg Wilkinson, Ernie Rush, Brent Alexander, John Mullins and Claude Mullins.

She was born March 24, 1919 in Livingston, Texas the daughter of Doyle & Dora Turner Wilkinson, and passed away Tuesday September 30, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center in Livingston, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wales Dear, her sons, Bobbie Bryant, Jack Bryant and Robert Donald Franklin, granddaughter Emily Mullins, and brothers, Gilbert, Carmen, & Carnie Wilkinson.
