Debi Johnson, 44, of Woodville, Texas, died Saturday, September 19, 2009 in Woodville.
Debi was born February 14, 1965, in Beaumont to Eddie and Janice Johnson.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Frizzell, U. S. Navy, Iraq, Wesley Frizzell and Andrew Johnson both of Woodville; sister,
Teresa Johnson of Woodville; brother, Kenneth Johnson of Pennsylvania; and grandmother, Evelyn Bantilias.
Funeral service was 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with Reverend Tommy Walker officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery in Town Bluff, Texas. A gathering of family and friends was Friday, September 25, 2009, 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s.

Oran Zelia “O.Z.” Foxworth, 83, of Woodville passed away peacefully unto the Lord on September 27, 2009. Born November 10, 1925 in Chester, Texas to the late Earl and Myrtie Grimes Foxworth, he lived in Woodville for many years. He retired from Gulf Oil Corp in 1979 as an operator. He then owned and operated E. J. and Son Trucking Company before retiring in 1987 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Woodville. A World War II Army Veteran, he served on the 101st Airborn Division making his last jump at the Battle of the Bulge. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Bryan Lane Foxworth. Mr. Foxworth is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Eva J. Foxworth; daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Mike Miller of Kingwood; brother, A. E. Foxworth of Sour Lake; sisters, Falby Cain of Crockett and Lorene Phillips of Cleveland; grandchildren, Lindsay Miller and Jonathan Miller; and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral service was held Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at 10 a..m. at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Hails Taylor and Brother Ross Shelton officiating. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation was held Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers were Alton Foxworth, Glenn Minick, Karl Eason, Jonathan Miller, Mike Miller and Charles Davis. Services were held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
Jimmy L. Dean, 71 of Woodville, passed away, Thursday, September 24, 2009 at his residence. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Jimmy was born December 13, 1937 to Fred & Essie Best Dean in Spurger, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Tyler County and was a retired carpenter from Echo Construction and Mason Construction. He was instrumental in the formation of Calvary Baptist Church in Woodville and was the former pastor of Chester Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Essie Dean; brothers, Clinton Dean & Leon Dean; and his sister, Mildred Street. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maxine Dean of Woodville; daughters & sons-in-law, Debbie & Butch Hollis of Jasper, Marilyn Dean of Bradenton, Florida, Christy & Joel Spurlock of Wildwood and Amy & Eldon Chalker, Jr. of Canton; brother, Robert Dean of Vidor; sister, Glenda Frizzell of Spurger; grandchildren, Justin Grannon & Jonathan Grannon both of Crossett, Arkansas, Nicole Carpenter & husband, Troy of Jasper, Kayla Hollis of Jasper, and Camille Chalker of Canton; and great grandson, Grayson Hollis of Jasper. Kathy Harrison Viator, 47, of Orange, Texas died Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Funeral services were 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Officiating was Sister Gena Harrison of Agape Church in Colmesneil, Texas. Burial followed at Colmesneil Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas. Visitation was from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Kathy was born on November 15, 1961, in Port Arthur, Texas. She was the daughter of Wilson Roberts and Beverly Mire. Survivors include her husband, Blain Viator; son, Michael Johnson of Houston, Texas; daughters, Laci Smart and Kree Harrison both of Nashville, Tennessee; son, Cory Harrison of Orange; step-son, Jake Viator; step-daughter, Amber Viator; and granddaughter, Railee Smart; parents, Wilson and Veronica Roberts and Beverly Mire. Serving as Pallbearers were Mark Edgerly, Jamie Briggs, Derick Paul Gilbert, Sonny Burnes, Jody Viator, Jacob Johnson and Jeremiah Johnson.
Graveside services for Rebecca Ann Witt, age 54 of Longview, were held Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at the Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Henderson, with Dr Harold Springfield officiating. Burial followed under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home in Henderson. Mrs. Witt died Sunday, September 13, 2009, in a Longview Hospital. Rebecca was born December 12, 1954, in Jasper, Texas. She was a graduate of Kirby-Woodville High School and she was a sales clerk. She was a member of the Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Witt, parents Richard & Johnnie Mae Best, sister & brother- in-law Linda Best Kimbrough and Harley Kimbrough, and mother-in-law Mary Witt Craft. She is survived by two sons, Eric and Nicholas Witt, both of Longview, sister Gladys Best of Woodville, Brother Rick Best of Layton, Utah, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jim & Patty Witt of Henderson, Joel & Holly Witt of Dallas, and father-in-law James R. Witt of Henderson.
Thomas L. “Tommy” McClure, 82, of Hillister, passed away, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. F uneral services were held Tuesday, September 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Chapel in Woodville with burial in Williams Cemetery in Hillister. Officiating was Brother Clark Mahoney. Serving as pallbearers were Lonnie Grissom, Sr., Bob Rawls, Josh McClure, Artie Dixon, Toby Spurlock Thomas McClureand Roy Mitcham. Honorary pallbearers were Ken Weaver, Max Graham and Tommy Edgar. Visitation was held on Monday, September 28th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. T ommy was born April 9, 1927 to Charles & Ida Russell McClure in Warren, Texas. He was owner of McClure Furniture Store and was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tressie and all of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sons, Phil McClure of Hillister and John McClure of Huntsville; daughter, Jeanette Spradley of Sugar Land; grandchildren, Jill Nichols & husband, Reece of Kilgore, Josh McClure & wife, Christa of Woodville, Jinger Fowler & husband, Kris of Woodville and Tyler McClure of Huntsville; great grandchildren, Jack Fowler, Karson Fowler, Rebecca Nichols, Allison Nichols Claire Nichols, Grace Nichols, Hailey McClure and Emma McClure. Virginia Harris West, 76, of Woodville, passed away, Thursday, September 24, 2009 at her residence. Graveside services were held Saturday, September 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Week’s Chapel Cemetery near Jasper. Officiating was Brother Rick Clark. V isitation was held on Friday, September 25th from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. Virginia was born October 2, 1932 to Ogle & Nita Martin Harris in Jasper, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of East Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, William John “Bill” West in 1992. She is survived by her sons, Herman “Bubba” Breaux & wife, Karen and Lynn Ogle Breaux & fiance`, Deb all of Jasper; daughter, Kathy “Sissy” Dorris & husband, James of Woodville; brothers, Jimmy H Harris & wife, Annie Lou of Abilene, Bill Harris of Lovelady and Joe Harris & wife, Jean of Jasper; sisters, Joyce Midkiff & husband, David of Jasper, Reba Milner & husband, Bud of Tyler, Avalon Cowen & husband, R.L. of Mertzon, Ouida Blackledge of San Angelo and Frances Grice of Mertzon; sisters-in-law, Billie Harris of Duncanville, Mary Harris of Mertens and Betty Harris of Nederland; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
