ALMA HOLLIDAY WHITE
Mrs. Alma Holliday White, age 94 of Lovelady, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008 in the Houston County Nursing Home in Crockett. Mrs. White was born September 22, 1913 in Houston County, Texas and had lived in Lovelady most of her lifetime. Mrs. White was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge in Cloverleaf. Mrs. White was a housewife and a member of the Lovelady Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Nan Holliday Lawson and husband J.M., of Huntsville; grandchildren Donnie Lawson and wife Joy, of Huntsville, Rayford Lawson and wife Kelly, of Willis and Sandi Lawson, of Huntsville; great-grandchildren: Jodi Lawson and husband Eddy, of Huntsville, Devin Lawson and Anna Lawson, both of Willis; great-great-grandchildren Ethan and Kasey Lawson, of Huntsville; brother-in-law Buck Holliday, of Houston; sisters-in-law Virginia Greene, of Tomball and Juanita Gilreath, of Texas City.

Preceded in death by her husbands Rayford Holliday and Howard White; and brothers Charlie Hallmark and Alton Hallmark.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Alma Holliday White were held Wednesday, July 30, at 11:00 a.m. in the Antioch Baptist Church in Lovelady with the Rev. Dan Moon and the Rev. Jared Burt officiating.  Interment followed in the Antioch Cemetery in Lovelady.

ARBON J. MAYHUGH
Mr. Arbon J. Mayhugh, age 61 of Grapeland, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in Tyler. Mr. Mayhugh was born March 12, 1947 in Trent, Texas to Homer Oscar and Mary Henager Mayhugh. Mr. Mayhugh owned and operated a trucking company for many years.

Survivors include his wife Kim Mayhugh; daughters Madison Mayhugh and Laura Mayhugh Salmon; son Clinton Mayhugh; sisters Patsy Keller, Susan Powell, Marilyn Sylvest and Jonell Mayhugh; grandchildren Marcus Cody Salmon, Joie Breanne Mayhugh and Karley Kendall Mayhugh.

Preceded in death by his parents Homer Oscar and Mary Henager Mayhugh; seven brothers and sisters.

Graveside Services for Mr. Arbon J. Mayhugh were held Sunday, August 3, at Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby.

EVA PERSON FRENCH
Mrs. Eva Person French, age 74, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008 at her residence in Latexo. Mrs. French was born October 5, 1933 in Alto, Texas to James and Elizabeth Person.

Survivors include her daughters Judith Frankell and husband Nick, of Pearland, Sharon Hadley and husband Bill, of Grapeland; sister Nell Harris and husband Tomme, of Tyler; brother William Person and wife Hedi, of Frisco; grandchildren Dawn Freedkin and husband Aaron, of Pearland, Larry Hadley and wife Kathy, of Grapeland, Cameron Settle, of Dallas, Laura Gresham and husband Gary, of Crockett, Savanha Gibbs and husband Joey, of Henderson, Sabrina Morris, of Alvin and Kelsey Hadley, of Grapeland; great-grandchildren Benjamin Freedkin, Julia Freedkin, Alexander Freedkin all of Pearland, Gage Gresham, of Crockett, Kaden Gibbs, of Henderson; and multiple nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her father and mother James and Elizabeth Person; husband of 43 years of marriage Billy Ray “Cowboy” French; daughter Gaylynn Morris; sisters Helen Ruth Roorke, Maddie Dee Bowman; and brother Son Person.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Eva Person French were held Tuesday, July 29, at 10:00 a.m. at the following location in the South Park Funeral Home, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, TX 77581.

NOBLE RAY “BUD” GRAHAM
Mr. Noble Ray “Bud” Graham, age 77 of Latexo, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at East Texas Medical Center in Crockett. Mr. Graham was born September 16, 1930 in Latexo to Preston and Annie Lou Weisinger Graham. Mr. Graham was a chemist and retired from Ethyl Corporation after 47 years of service. Mr. Graham served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his daughters Renee Small and husband Steve, of Montgomery and Lois Ann Haney, of Pasadena; brothers Larry Graham, of Pasadena and Jerry Graham, of Georgetown; four grandchildren Steven Jones, Dustin Sikes, Preston Small and Chandler Small; two great grandchildren Blake Sikes and James Jones.

Preceded in death by his parents Preston and Annie Lou Weisinger Graham; wife Lois Helen Graham; and two brothers Denny Graham and Kenneth Graham.

Funeral Services for Mr. Noble Ray “Bud” Graham were held Friday, August 1, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Church in Grapeland with the Rev. Mike Tindall officiating. Interment followed in Graham Cemetery in Latexo.

Pallbearers were Steven Jones, Dustin Sikes, Preston Small, Gary Graham, Greg Graham, and Steve Small. Honorary pallbearer will be James Clark.

ROBERT D. LEE
Mr. Robert D. Lee, age 74 of Brownwood, went home to be with his Lord on Friday night, July 25, 2008 at the Kindred S. W. Medical Center in Fort Worth. Mr. Lee was born December 6, 1933 in Gorman, Texas the son of the late Joe B. and Alice Moore Lee. Mr. Lee married Rita Joan in Comanche County on June 18, 1955.

Mr. Lee was a long time educator and football coach, his most recent position concluded with a winning 6-man football team at Zephyr at the age of 73. His love of teaching and coaching spanned a long career.

Mr. Lee was also an avid genealogist and Son of the American Revolution. His life was guided by his focus on the family and he will be dearly missed.  Mr. Lee served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Mr. Lee was a member of the Baptist church and had lived in Brownwood for the past 5 years.

Survivors include his wife Joan Lee, of Brownwood; daughter and son-in-law Vicky and Rick Biessener of Brownwood and their children Rachel, of Dallas, Vallery, of Waco, Tahra, of Round Rock, Blake, of the USMC, Ashe, Mariah and Shayla, of Brownwood; son and daughter-in-law Joe and Ingrid Lee, of Lovelady and their children Robert and wife Nicole, of Lovelady, Kristie, of Lubbock, Nathan, of Dallas, Sarah, Hannah, Samuel, Jade, Zachary, and Curtis, of Lovelady; three great-grandchildren Nathan, Julie, and Chelsea; brother and sister-in-law Calvin and Ronda Lee, of Brownwood; and sister-in-law and husband Karen and Larry Dansbee, of Montgomery.

Funeral Services for Mr. Robert D. Lee were held Monday, July 28, at 1:00 p.m. in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche with Stephen Schwartz, David Whisenhunt, Jamie Smith, and Blake Biessener officiating. Interment followed in the Comanche County Garden of Memories.

WILLIAM LEON BRYANT
Mr. William Leon Bryant, age 81 of Nederland, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home. A native of Newton, Texas, Mr. Bryant spent his adult life in the Beaumont area. Mr. Bryant was a United States Navy veteran having served in World War II. Mr. Bryant worked for Mid-City Motors as a mechanic and also as a driver for Rose City Sand.

Survivors include his daughters Kathleen Gilbert and husband Dennis, of Mauriceville, and Margaret Bryant and partner JoAnn Jacobs, of Nederland; grandchildren Lori Northcott and husband Michael, of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Christopher Gilbert and wife Melodie, of Nederland; great-grandchildren Justin Gilbert, Austin Northcott, and Jacob Northcott.

Preceded in death by his wife of forty years Sadie Otto Bryant. 

Funeral Service for Mr. William Leon Bryant were held Saturday, August 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. Interment followed at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
