CARL WAYNE MORGAN
Mr. Carl Wayne Morgan, age 53 of Latexo, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008, in the Houston County Nursing Home. Mr. Morgan was born July 10, 1954 in Pasadena, Texas and had lived in Latexo for the past 3 years. Mr. Morgan was a veteran and was retired from the U.S. Navy. Mr. Morgan was a member of the Harvest Church in Crockett.
Survivors include wife Shirley Morgan, of Latexo; son Wayne Allen Morgan, of Temple; one granddaughter; parents Carl and Elizabeth Morgan, of Marquez; sister Betty Schultz and husband Robert, of McGregor; brothers Benny Morgan, of Waco, Dan Morgan and wife Teresa, of Navasota; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Military Graveside Services for Mr. Carl Wayne Morgan were held Monday, February 11, 2008 at 11:45 a. m. in the Houston National Cemetery with the Rev. Shane Mize officiating.

EVELYN BEARD BALDREE
Mrs. Evelyn Beard Baldree, age 90 of Crockett, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2008, in Crockett, Texas. Mrs. Baldree was born on October 31, 1917 in Houston County, Texas and had lived in Crockett for all of her life. Before her retirement she was an LVN at the Crockett Clinic and at the Houston County Hospital. Mrs. Baldree was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Crockett.
Mrs. Baldree is at peace now and she can be with her Mother, Florence Clark Beard, who passed away when Mrs. Baldree was 9 years old.
Others preceding her in death were her father James Luther Beard; her brothers Claude Beard, Oscar Beard, and John Henry Beard; and her sisters, Anna Lou Livingston and Hermine Jones.
Most of all she will be with her husband, Robert Harold Baldree, who she spent 37 years with before his death in 1971. Mrs. Baldree will also join her first born daughter Barbara Frances, who passed away in 2002.
Mrs. Baldree was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. 
Survivors include her daughter and husband Joyce and Wayne Brown, of The Woodlands; grandchildren Michael Wayne Brown and wife Christie, of The Woodlands, Raela Jo Olivarez, of Port Aransas, Melony Quinn and husband Mike, and Jimmie Lynn Idom, all of New Caney; great-grandchildren Ariel Michelle Tate and Hannah Elizabeth Brown, of The Woodlands, Constance, Courtney and Candice Olivarez, of Port Aransas, Ashley and Cody Quinn, Chasity and Tyler Idom, all of New Caney; special people Dr. Frank Smith, Mary Martin, Archie Martinez, Mr. and Mrs. Darden Welsh, Carrie Powell, Jim and Hazel Platt, Myrtle Calvin, Toyia Putnam, Oscar and Elnora Allen, and Tammy Luce. 
Funeral Services for Mrs. Evelyn Beard Baldree were held Sunday, February 17, 2008 and 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Goss officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church or Library of your choice.

G. L. “BAY” HARRISON
Mr. G. L. “Bay” Harrison, age 91 of Crockett, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 in the Whitehall Nursing Center in Crockett. Mr. Harrison was born March 2, 1916 in Houston County, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Houston County. Mr. Harrison was a rancher and was affiliated with the Baptist Church. 
Survivors include his children Don Harrison and wife Marilyn, Barbara Flanagan and husband Albert, Ruth Woolley and husband Cloyse, all of Crockett, Jerry Harrison and wife Carolyn, of Kennard and Gloria Oates and husband Robert, of Huntsville; grandchildren Alisa Woolley Fritz, of Cypress, Sherri Harrison Hazlett, of Centerville, Cloyse Woolley, Jr., of Dallas, Kevin Flanagan, of Lufkin, Lori Harrison Novak, of Caldwell, Jennifer Harrison Cyr, of Kennard, Jeffrey Harrison, of Longview, Stephen Harrison, of Centerville and Brian Harrison Oates, of San Antonio; great-grandchildren Molly Hazlett, Joseph Hazlett, Jesse Novak, Bay Novak, Hattie Novak, Harrison Novak, Kyle Flanagan, Christopher Flanagan, Kyndall Flanagan, Kamryn Flanagan, Dustin Crawford, Tyler Fritz, Brandon Fritz, Kesler Woolley, Clay Cyr and Lauren Cyr; sister Dollie Davis, of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Smith Harrison; parents John Harrison and Elizabeth Bobbitt Harrison; brothers J. W. Harrison and Claude Harrison; and sister Lena Mae Vaughan.
Funeral Services for Mr. G. L. “Bay” Harrison were held Monday, February 11, 2008 at 10:00 a. m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Goss officiating.  Interment followed in the New Energy Cemetery.

OPAL RICESEPMOREE CRAVEN
Mrs. Opal Rice Sepmoree Craven, age 96 of Crockett, passed away Friday, February 8, 2008 in the Whitehall Nursing Home in Crockett. Mrs. Craven was born May 10, 1911 in Houston County, Texas and had lived all of her lifetime in Crockett. Mrs. Craven was retired having worked as a nurse and was a member of the South Loop Church of Christ in Crockett.
Survivors include her son John Sepmoree and wife Hurley, of Bonham; daughter Lois Burns and husband Jack, of Crockett; daughters-in-law Jean Sepmoree, of Crockett, Barbara Sepmoree, of Rusk; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her sons David Sepmoree in 1995 and James Thomas Sepmoree in 2000.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Opal Rice Sepmoree Craven were held Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Mr. Carl Allen and the Rev. John Montgomery officiating. Interment followed in the Rice Cemetery.

OPAL RAE GOODWIN
Mrs. Opal Rae Goodwin, age 75 of Lovelady, formerly of San Leon, passed away Saturday, February 09, 2008 at her residence in Lovelady. Mrs. Goodwin was born September 15, 1932 in Lovelady, Texas and had lived in Lovelady for the last 20 years, previously living in San Leon. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of T. O.P.S. #1766 and had worked as an administrative secretary. Mrs. Goodwin enjoyed gardening and bowling. Mrs. Goodwin loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
Survivors include her sons Roy Mack Goodwin and wife Jean, of Lovelady, James Goodwin and wife Vicki, of League City; grandchildren Roy David Goodwin of Conroe, Carol Ann Monk and husband Kyle, of Lovelady, Eric Poston and wife Brittny, Jayme Savoie and Richard Friedley, all of League City, LeAnne Ragus, of Galveston; great-grandchildren Benjamin Monk, Kaleigh Poston, Shelby Savoie, Garrett Poston, Braeden Ragus, Bryce Savoie and McKenzie Poston; sister-in-law Mozelle Doss, of Wells; special niece Janie Durham, of Wells; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her husband Young Morris Goodwin in 1985; and parents Hady and Mae McGuire.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Opal Rae Goodwin were held Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Scott Matthews officiating. Interment followed in the Lovelady Antioch Cemetery.

SUE ALLBRIGHT COOK
Mrs. Sue Allbright Cook, age 92 of Porter Springs, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008 in the Whitehall Nursing Center in Crockett. Mrs. Cook was born April 9, 1915 in Houston County, Texas and she had lived all of her lifetime in Houston County. Mrs. Cook was a member of the Porter Springs Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son Alvin Cook and wife Faye, of Porter Springs; daughter Sue Nash and husband Cecil, of Troup; grandchildren Billy Cook and wife Lisa, of Era, Larry Cook and wife Tammy, of Porter Springs, Susan Wall and husband Robert, of Overton, Bonnie Thomas and husband Tony and Marty McDougald and husband Mark, all of Troup; great-grandchildren Maria Cook and fiancé Dustin Vaught, Daphne McLaughlin and husband Jay, Valarie Cook, Amanda Cook, Danny Thomas, Jennifer Cook and fiancé A. J. Shivers, Whitney Cook, Alex Cook, Nick Cook, Justin Cook, Troy, Aaron, Jacob, John, Douglas and Jonah McDougald; great-great-grandchildren Dayin James, Raven Wooten, Dillon McLaughlin and Savannah Cook; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her husband Douglas Cook in 1985; parents Edd and Hatie Allbright; seven brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Sue Allbright Cook were held Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Porter Springs Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Carl Standley officiating. Interment followed in the Porter Springs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Porter Springs Baptist Church Building Fund.
