Maurine V. Gregoor
LIVINGSTON – Maurine V. Gregoor, 94, died on April 15, 2008. She was born June 1, 1913 in Throckmorton. Survivors include her husband, William Gregoor of Livingston; sons, Bob Tabor of Hinton, Okla. and Montie Clyde Turnbull of Spring; daughter, Sharon Covington of Cypress; brothers, Glen and Howell Sammons of Haskell; numerous nieces and nephews and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were held April 19 in Klein Memorial Park in Tomball.

Ed Griffith
LIVINGSTON -- Ed Griffith, 74, of Livingston died on Thursday, April 24, 2008, at his residence. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Ed Smith officiating. Mr. Griffith was born Jan. 7, 1934 in Carbondale to parents Thomas Nathan and Estella Scott Griffith. He is survived by his wife, Jannie Griffith of Livingston; sons, Ronald Lee Griffith of Houston, Q.E. “Ed” Griffith of Livingston and Charles Griffith of Houston; daughters, Saundra Gail Meyka of Ace, Donna Slack of Freeport and Vickie Jones of Livingston; brothers, Edward Griffith of Houston and Kenneth Griffith of Austin; sisters, Eva Wilson and Elsie Wilson; 15 grandchildren, Mistie, Brandi, Maggie, Ronnie, Cayla, Christopher, Kristin, Joey, Andrew, Amy, Shauna, Martha, John, Joe and Jennifer and 13 great-grandchildren. Florida Hill Lindsey
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Florida Hill Lindsey of Leggett were held Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Providence No. 1 Baptist Church in Leggett, with the Rev. R. Coleman officiating. Burial followed in Carrington Cemetery in Seven Oaks. Mrs. Lindsey died on April 22 in Lufkin. She was born Oct. 31, 1932 in Leggett, the daughter of Emanuel Allen and Creola Davis Allen, and attended public school in Leggett. Mrs. Lindsey was retired from employment with Central Baptist Church. Survivors include her sisters, Dorthine Brown of Livingston and Creola Davis of Leggett; seven children, Robert Hill of Livingston, Gloria Allen of Houston, Lawrence Lindsey of Houston, Velma Battist Nelson, Clifton Lindsey of Houston, Odis Hill of Livingston and Charlie Hill of Houston; two adopted children, Michael King and Sandra King; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Bobby Wallace, Jeffery Davis, Darrell Davis, James Davis, Elbert Allen and Emmanuel Allen. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Hill, Lawrence Lindsey, Clifton Lindsey, Odis Hill and Vernon Davis. Peaceful Rest Mortuary in Diboll was in charge of arrangements.

Clyde Eugene Springer
CORRIGAN -- Funeral services for Clyde Eugene Springer, 75, of New Caney were held Saturday, April 26, 2008, in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Vera Griffin officiating. Interment followed in Holhausen- Darby Cemetery in Moscow. Mr. Springer was born June 7, 1932 in Dayton and died on Monday, April 21, in Conroe. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, retired from the freight industry as a fork lift operator and was Assembly of God by faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Alvie and Estelle (Stepp) Springer; daughter, Nelda Duke and granddaughter, Elizabeth Duke. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wanda Springer; sons, Harvey Denton of Point Blank and Robert Springer of New Caney; daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and Dennis Bilodeau of Stafford, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Bill Pearson of Houston and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Paul Skaggs, Eric Stevens, J.T. Bond, Freddie Courtney, Douglas Parker and Ray McDonald.

Jerry Hoff
LIVINGSTON -- Jerry Hoff, 70, of Livingston died on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, in Houston. The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 115 Wildwood, Livingston. Mr. Hoff was born on Sept. 26, 1937 in Wausau, Wis. to parents Clarence and Helen Green Hoff. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Hoff of Livingston; sons, Andy and Dan Hoff, both of Wisconsin; daughter, Pam Schmidtbauer of Onalaska; stepchildren, Samantha Guilbeau of Livingston, Paul Guilbeau of Livingston, Nekoel Costino of Houston, Billie Mc- Day of Houston and Tyler Guilbeau of Oklahoma and 14 grandchildren. Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra Stubbs
PALESTINE -- Graveside services for Sandra Stubbs, 56, of Palestine were held Friday, April 25, 2008, at Weldon Cemetery, with Pastor David Malone officiating. Mrs. Stubbs died Monday, April 21, in Palestine Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 21, 1952 in Houston to Woodrow and Rita Ducharm Bear. Mrs. Stubbs was a homemaker and a member of the Cornerstone Worship Center of Palestine. Mrs. Stubbs was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Stubbs of Palestine; daughters, Teresa Anderson and Janet Tillman of Palestine; sons, Johnny Stubbs of Palestine and Jimmy Stubbs of Houston; two sisters, Janet Dillon of Oakwood and Joyce Haggard of Palestine; two brothers, Woody Bear of Huntington and Franky Bear of Washington and four grandchildren. Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine, was in charge of arrangements.

Charles R. Franklin
LIVINGSTON -- Charles R. Franklin, 89, of Livingston died on Thursday, April 24, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at the First United Methodist Church in Livingston, with the Rev. James Frazier officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Texas Forestry Association Education Fund - In memory of Charles R. Franklin at P.O. Box 1488, Lufkin, Texas 75901.
