Christine Kenny Hurst
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Christine Kenny Hurst, 77, were held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Col. Howard Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, Ky.
Mrs. Hurst died Wednesday, Nov. 28, in Conroe Regional Medical Center, Conroe.
She was born Feb. 26, 1930 in Paris, Ky., the daughter of Charles and Ida Webb Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Vernon Baxter; her parents; one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Diane Baxter of Onalaska, Donnie and Cora Baxter of Kentucky, Glen Baxter of Liberty County, Mike and Lisa Baxter of Alvin and Earl and Katherine Baxter of Alvin; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Richard Medcalf of Oklahoma, Shirley Alsman of Kentucky and Betty and Richard Hicks of Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and sister, Francis Duenne of Indiana.

Tom Moffett
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Tom Moffett, 55, were held Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Walter Sistrunk and Bro. Don Knox officiating. Burial followed in Peebles Cemetery. Military honors were provided by VFW Post 8568.
Mr. Moffett died Monday, Nov. 26, in Odyssey House in Conroe.
He was born March 19, 1952 in Galveston, the son of Thomas and Violet Sutton Moffett, both of whom preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Moffett of Livingston; daughter, Katricia Delrio of Mt. Ida, Ark.; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas E. Moffett II, Douglas and Stephanie Moffett of Livingston, Thomas Earl and Ashley Moffett of Diboll and James A. and Angela Moffett of Livingston; grandchildren, Christina, Joseph, Anthony, William, Taylor, Brian, Ethan, Hayden, Kolton, Malayna, Kailey, Hunter, Summer and Tyler; sister and brother-in-law, Linda W. and Tom Pieri of Livingston; brother, Kenneth A. Moffett of Bacliff; nieces, Cheryl, Karen, Lynette, Terrie Lynn, Hope, Emily and Brandi and nephews, Karl, Keith, Kevin, Alex and Sheldon.
Pallbearers were Henry Lee Seagraves, Delbert Moffett, Robert Moffett, Morris Taymon, Wayner Saunders and Karl Pieri. Honorary pallbearers were David Buster, Donald Piper, Bob Wolverton and John Boyce.

Kenneth Ray Sample
LIVINGSTON – A memorial service for Kenneth Ray Sample, 69, was held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Unity Baptist Church in Dolen, with Bro. Harry Laxton officiating.
Mr. Sample died Wednesday, Nov. 28, in Memorial Medical Center – Livingston.
He was born Nov. 18, 1938 in Livingston, the son of Joseph and Lucell Johnson Sample. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Albert Sample and Raymond Sample.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, John and Nancy Sample of Livingston; granddaughter, Britnie Sample; grandsons, Tyler Sample, Austin Sample, Justin Sample and Jeremie Sample; brothers, Jerry W. “J.W.” Sample of Cleveland and Joe W. Sample of Livingston; sisters, Mary Ivy of Sweeny and Linda Dunlap of Longview and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lonnie Edwards Budro Sr.
LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Lonnie Edward Budro Sr., 68, were held Thursday,
Nov. 29, 2007, at Pace Funeral Home, with Elder Glenn Daniels officiating. Interment followed in Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston.
Mr. Budro died on Nov. 25 in the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.
He was a retired truck driver, and he served in the army. Mr. Budro was born April 29, 1939 in Liberty to John Louie And Annie Florence McClendon Budro. He loved farming.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 27 years, Margaret Ann Budro; five brothers, Charles, William Ray, J.L., Dewey and Roger Dale Budro; one sister, Lillian Sullivan; daughter, Elizabeth Annie Budro and one
grandson, Thomas Micheal Hurlburt.
Surviving him are his wife of 17 years, Edith Budro of Leflore, Okla., children, Roger William Budro and wife Denise of Lumberton, Virginia Budro of Leflore,
Okla., Margaret Budro Green and husband Ross of Lumberton, Mary Giles of Big Spring, Lonnie Edward Budro Jr. and wife Vicki Budro of Chandler, John Edgar Budro and wife Teresa Budro of Chandler, Susie Budro Harvell
and husband Doug Harvell of Rye, Dewey Wayne Budro and wife Karen Budro of Hendersonville, N.C. and Dan Lucas Budro of Liberty, Mo.; Daniel Clements and wife Jennifer of San Marcos, Calif., Johnathan Clement of Daisetta, Rebecca Swilling and husband Shawn of Rolland, Okla. and Simeon Clement of Lefore, Okla.; three sisters, Nancy Hilll of Texas City, Barbara Ellen Scott of Port Neches and Mary Ann Magee of Port Neches; 34 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers were Roger Budro, Lonnie Budro Jr., John Budro, Dewey Budro, Dan Budro and William Budro.
Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Kathryn Melton Scurry
KEMP -- Kathryn Melton of Scurry died on Nov. 29, 2007 in Kaufman.
She was born on Sept. 8, 1927 to the late R.C. and Alma Thomas Lehew Sr. in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett L. Melton; granddaughter, Jana Gibbins; brothers, R.C. Lehew Jr., Loyd W. Lehew and Gerald W. Lehew; sister, Edna Merle Lehew and Yvonne Lehew and stepmother, Beverly Lehew.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Grumbling and husband Ernest of Scurry and son, Wade Melton and wife Joyce of Kaufman; nine grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Lehew and wife Margie of New Orleans, La., Lynn Best Bohannon of Livingston, Loretta Johnson of Baytown, Marlene Milligan and husband Pat of Edna and Robbie Whitley and husband Don of Edna; stepsisters, Glenda Adams and Darla Backus and husband Dennis; stepbrother, Stoke Reader; half-brother Gerry Lehew and half-sisters, Terri Price and husband Don of Baytown, Connie Fort and husband Larry and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Services were held Saturday, Dec. 1, in the Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment followed in Kemp Cemetery.

Glenn Eugene Forrest
LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Glenn Eugene Forrest, 77, were held Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, in the Pace Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. James Frazier
officiating. Interment followed in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Forrest died in Memorial Medical Center – Livingston.
He retired after 20 years in the Navy, as master chief radar man. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was born Dec. 29, 1929 in Pelly, the son of George and Grace
Forrest. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Virginia Ann Boyer and his first wife, Mary Lillian Forrest.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Grace Forrest; children, Kathy and Edward Marion of Highlands, Nancy and Dale Ibendahl of Oakdale, Ill., Pauline and Bill Parker of Harrison, Ark., Paula and
Gary Hollers of Bloomfield, N.M., Maurice and Sharon George of Crosby, Michaeline and Raymond Procell of Pelican, La.; Darlene and Steve Ezell of Rydal, Ga. and Chris and Don McCoy of Marietta, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, George A. Forrest and wife Dori of Rockport; many grandchildren; a host of
great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers were his family.
