Truman Johnson Jr.
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Truman Johnson Jr., 51, of Blanchard will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at St. Luke’s Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Keith Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Corrieville Cemetery in Blanchard.
Mr. Johnson died Jan. 20 in Houston.
He was born Jan. 22, 1956 in Livingston, the son of the late Truman Johnson Sr. and Addie Mae White Johnson. He attended Livingston public schools and welding school.
Survivors include his mother, Addie Mae Johnson; two brothers, James Johnson (Eunice) of Humble and Lorenzo Johnson of League City; four sisters, Addie Gardner of Houston, Anna Young (Leonard) of San Antonio, Marilyn Thomas (Wilbert Thomas II) of Palacios and Elzie Faye Barnett (Abbie) of Victoria; 16 nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Johnson Jr., Abbie Barnett, Wilbert Thomas II, Wilbert Thomas III, Lionel Young and Darius Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Young, Robert White Sr., James Johnson, Willie J. White, Jack White Jr. and Edd White Sr.
Duncan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Deo Mudd
HUNTSVILLE – Deo Mudd, 83, was born on Oct. 17, 1924 in Gonzales and died on Jan. 19, 2008 in Conroe.
He was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Livingston and was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline May Mudd; children, Michael Mudd, Gaile Whittlesey and John Mudd; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 23, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Livingston. Interment was in Forest Park East Cemetery in Dickinson.
Huntsville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Patricia Ann "Pat" Richards
LIVINGSTON – Graveside services for Patricia Ann “Pat” Richards, 66, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, with Tim Thompson officiating.
Mrs. Richards died Monday, Jan. 21, in Odyssey Health Care in Conroe.
She was born Nov. 14, 1941 in Oakdale, La., the daughter of W.D. and Myrtle Strother McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Richards.
Survivors include her daughter, Tyrella Richards-Meche of Lake Charles, La.; son, Shannon Che Richards of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Rocky and Billie Richards of Livingston; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and brother, Donald McDaniel of Trinity.
Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Wayne Henry Pergande
ONALASKA -- Funeral services for Wayne Henry Pergande, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, in the First United Methodist Church of Onalaska, with the Rev. Paul G. Whitlatch and the Rev. Pam Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Onalaska.
Mr. Pergande died Monday, Jan. 21, in Hospice in the Pines in Lufkin.
He was born May 28, 1928 in Algona, Iowa, the son of Henry and Florence Lottman Pergande, both of whom preceded him in death. Mr. Pergande was a member of the Promise Keepers, the Caring Committee, Intercessory Prayer Group and the East Texas Emmaus Community for 13 years.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Shirley Pergande of Livingston; daughter, Barbara Folsom of Gun Barrel City; daughters and sons-in-law, Phylis and David Davidson of Conroe, Connie and George Allison of Goodyear, Ariz. and Renee and Roy Stanley of Crossett, Ark.; sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Catherine Pergande of Livingston, Joe Pergande of Fairfield, Calif., Michael and Bonnie Holt of Livingston and Jason and Michelle Holt of Diboll; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lorraine Pergande of Winterhaven, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends and extended family members in Iowa.
Pallbearers will be Gene Pergande, Jonathon Holt, Joshua Holt, John Mattes, Bobby Perkins, Richard Reeves and Bob Neely. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Howett, Tony Taylor and Ray Howard.

Donald Paul Snyder
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Donald Paul Snyder, 74, were held Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Scott Neal officiating. Burial followed in Peebles Cemetery.
Mr. Snyder died Wednesday, Jan. 23, in San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.
He was born April 3, 1933 in Milford, N.J., the son of Daniel and Myrtle Rymond Snyder. Mr. Snyder was a member of American Legion Post 312, was past chief of the Segno Volunteer Fire Department, worked for First National Bank for five years and owned Snyder’s Sharp All Shop. He retired from United State Gypsum in Galena Park. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, having attained the rank of PFC, enlisting on April 10, 1953 in Newark, N.J. and discharged on April 9, 1955.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles Snyder, Daniel Snyder Jr. and Bob Snyder and sisters, Ella Zilleox and Vivian Fritchman.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Anita Snyder of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Erle Fowler of Beach City; son, Daniel Snyder of Gatesville; granddaughters, Tiffany Williams, Christina Emerson, Brandi Brock and Morgan Snyder; numerous great-grandchildren and brothers, Bill Snyder of Port Orange, Fla. and Earl Snyder of Milford, N.J.

Jenibel Blankenship
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Jenibel Blankenship, 93, were held Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Woodworth officiating. Burial followed in Wortham Cemetery in Wortham.
Mrs. Blankenship died Tuesday, Jan. 22, in Memorial Medical Center – Livingston.
She was born Sept. 10, 1914 in Wortham, the daughter of James and Virginia Anderson Cashion.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Otto Hawkins Jr. of Livingston; grandsons and wives, Jimmy and Tonda Hawkins of Rosharon and Don and Teri Hawkins of Spring; granddaughter and husband, Julie and Scott Hargraves of Livingston and great-grandsons, Joshua Hawkins of Spring, David Hawkins of Rosharon, Zachary Hawkins of Spring, Justin Hawkins of Rosharon, Brian Riddle of Livingston and Braden Hargraves of Livingston.

John Howard Saxon
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for John Howard Saxon Jr., 79, were held Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Corrigan, with the Rev. James Brock and the Rev. Curtis Jordan officiating. Burial followed in Union Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Saxon died Tuesday, Jan. 22, in St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.
He was born April 27, 1928 in Corrigan, the son of John and Minnie Aydelotte Saxon Sr., both of whom preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, O’Weena Saxon of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, John Mitchell Saxon and Gayle of Corrigan; son, Stephen Saxon of Deer Park; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Doug Tompkins of Livingston; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Charlie Fuller of Livingston; granddaughters, Jamie Quinn and husband Daniel of Nacogdoches, Jennifer Saxon of Lufkin, Julie Saxon of Longview and Lindsay Tompkins of Livingston; grandson, Dylan Tompkins of Livingston and great-granddaughters, Madison Mahr of Lufkin and Cameryn Quinn of Nacogdoches.
Pallbearers were Julio Perez, Seth Handley, Daniel Quinn, Harlon Parrish, Charlie Fuller and Roy Beauchamp. Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Purvis, Hal Hubbard, Alton Burris and Carly Smith.
