Eunice Lorene Barnes
PEARLAND – Eunice Lorene Barnes, 90, died on May 15, 2007 after a lengthy illness.
She was born Nov. 19, 1916 in Decatur, the sixth of 10 children born to Emory and Ida Foster Dollar, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Perdue, in 1971 and her second husband, Arlen Barnes, in 2004. Mrs. Barnes was known as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her three children, Roger Perdue and wife Sharon, Joylene Minshew and Theresa Ann Smith and husband Michael and four grandchildren, Cynthia Lewis, David Minshew, Lisa O’Banion and husband Pat and Trey Stevenson and wife Amy.
Private graveside services were held Friday, May 18, at Southpark Cemetery in Pearland.

Jean Peacock
LIVINGSTON – Graveside services for Jean Peacock, 81, were held Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg, Miss., with Bro. Ed Peacock officiating.
Mrs. Peacock died Wednesday, May 16, in Hermann Northwest Hospital in Houston, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident Feb. 3 in Livingston. She had been transported by Life Flight to Houston.
She was born May 17, 1925 in Leesburg, Miss., the daughter of Houston and Hassie Bates, both of whom preceded her in death. She and her husband Jack were the owners of a grocery store and gas station in Waldo, Ark.
Survivors include her husband, Jack D. Peacock of Onalaska; sisters, Penny Anders and Irene Jones; brothers, Hugh D. Bates and Merle Bates and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

James Lee “Bo” Warren
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for James Lee “Bo” Warren, 51, formerly of Leggett, were held Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Feagin Cemetery, with the Rev. John Henry McCoy officiating.
Mr. Warren died Friday, May 11.
He was born Nov. 4, 1955 in Livingston, the son of Jessie and Lois McCoy Warren Sr.
Survivors include his parents, Jessie Lee and Lois Warren of Leggett; wife, Janice Warren of Picayune, Miss.; sister, Lois Young of Livingston; brothers, Jessie Lee Warren Jr. of Leggett and Richard “Pete” Warren of Lovelady; daughters, Melody Hassell of Alvin and Shannon Williams of Pearl River, La.; sons, Johnny Marshall of Cleveland and Kevin Hardin of Cleveland; grandsons, Devan, William Hassell of Alvin and Dalton Polk of Pearl River, La.; granddaughters, Hailee Marshall of Pearl River, La., Davlin Polk of Pearl River, La. and Holly Hassell of Alvin; uncle, John Henry McCoy Sr. of Warren; aunt and uncle, Sarah and Doug Smelley of Nacogdoches; aunts, Pat McCoy, Judy McCoy Matt of Woodville and Nelda Pellert of Doucet; brothers-in-law, Randy Crawford of Pearl River, La. and Albert Crawford of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Bridget Crawford and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were J.D. Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, Robert Herman, William Earl Babbs, Blayne Kay and Kevin Hardin. Honorary pallbearers were Jessie Lee Warren Jr., Tommy Johnson, Joe Neal McCandless, Jim Lewis and Kenneth Babbs.
Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Tony Anneo LaRue
CORRIGAN – Funeral services for Tony Anneo LaRue, 47, of Garrison were held Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Lilly Island Missionary Baptist Church in Camden, with Pastor Chester Strain officiating. Interment followed in Lilly Island Cemetery.
Mr. LaRue was born Jan. 21, 1960 in Camden and died Monday, May 14, in Carthage.
He was employed by Basic Energy as a truck driver and was a member of Jubilee Christian Church in Nacogdoches. He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Lee LaRue.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Ann Scroggins LaRue of Garrison; father, Woodson Deason Jr. of Beaumont; stepfather, Benjamin Jones of Corpus Christi; sons, Brandon LaRue of Lufkin and Justace Scroggins of Garrison; daughters, Jasmine LaRue of Lufkin and Jada LaRue of Lufkin; brothers, Marlon Jones of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Joshua Deason, Woodson Deason III and Ross Deason, all of Beaumont and sisters, Tara Jones and Michele Jones, both of Lufkin, and Regina Deason of Beaumont.

Hobby Hendrix
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Hobby Hendrix, 88, were held Saturday, May 19, 2007, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Rex Hendrix officiating. Burial followed in Big Sandy Cemetery in Dallardsville.
Mr. Hendrix died Wednesday, May 16, in Memorial Medical Center – Livingston.
He was born July 24, 1918 in Dallardsville, the son of Jose and Pearl Bailey Hendrix. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie; his parents; brothers, T.J. Hendrix and Elton Hendrix and sisters, Zelma Lilley, Juanita Harrison, Lola Mae Williams and Margaret Ashen.
Survivors include his daughter, Bobbie Jones of Houston; sons, Flynn Hendrix of Big Sandy, Lynn Hendrix of Big Sandy and Joe Hendrix of Houston; grandsons, Greg Hendrix and wife Amy of Livingston, Trent Hendrix and wife Shawna of Livingston, Travis Hendrix and wife Tracy of Big Sandy, Jason Hendrix and wife Heather of Houston, Josh Hendrix of Houston and Jesse Hendrix of Big Sandy; granddaughters, Stacy Gross and husband Eric of Houston and Brandi Hernandez of Houston; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Travis Hendrix of Big Sandy, Davis, Grant and Anna Hendrix of Livingston, Jacob and William Gross of Houston, Hunter Hendrix of Livingston  and Grace Hendrix of Houston; brother, Nathan Hendrix of Big Sandy and sister, Bennie Sanders of Baytown.
Pallbearers were Jason Hendrix, Travis Hendrix, Greg Hendrix, Trent Hendrix, Josh Hendrix and Edwin Hendrix.

Tom John
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Tom John, 73, were held Saturday, May 19, 2007, at the First Indian Baptist Church, with Pastor Rick Robertson, Bro. Ernest Best and Bro. Luke Battise officiating. Burial followed in the Indian Baptist Cemetery,
Mr. John died Wednesday, May 16, in Memorial Health System of East Texas.
He was born Aug. 22, 1933 in Elton, La., the son of Ed and Emily Alabama John. He served in the Marines during the Korean conflict and Vietnam, having attained the rank of gunnery sergeant. He retired after serving his country for 22 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bruce Abbey.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Elissie B. John of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Marcella G. John Carrasco and Eli of Tyler; son and daughter-in-law, Harold E. John and Margaret A. of Kinder, La.; son, Greg John of Livingston; grandsons, Jason Ryan Carrasco, Jeremy Allen Carrasco, Alex Thunder John, Jordan Hawk John and Gregory Grey Wolf John; granddaughters, Sierra Brook Carrasco, Carrie Joy St. Pierre and Crystal Starr John and brother, Lloyd B. Abbey of Oberlin, La.

Elizabeth Mae “Betty” Long
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Elizabeth Mae “Betty” Long, 64, were held Sunday, May 20, 2007, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Hood officiating.
Mrs. Long died Thursday, May 17, at her residence in Livingston.
She was born Oct. 23, 1942 in Darby, Pa., the daughter of George and Mary Williams Berger. She was preceded in death by her father. Mrs. Long was known as an adoring wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, who was a beautiful person inside and out.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Long of Livingston; sons, James Long of Newark, N.J. and John Long of Livingston; daughter, Deborah Ray of Porter; mother, Catherine Berger of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Georgia Steinfals of Las Vegas, Nev., Gini Spalding of New Jersey and Laura Maiura of Missouri; brother, Robert Berger of Alaska; daughter-in-law, Melissa Long of Livingston; granddaughter, Callie Long of Livingston; son-in-law, Steven Ray of Porter and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Robert Dewaine Jordan
LIVINGSTON -- Robert Dewaine Jordan, 80, of Onalaska, died on Sunday, May 20, 2007 in Houston.
Services were held in his honor on Wednesday, May 22, in the Pace Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Restland Cemetery.
Mr. Jordan was known as a loving husband and father to his family and extended family. Mr. Jordan is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Katherine Marsh Jordan, and brother, Herman Jordan.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Margaret Mason Jordan; daughters, Barbara Findley and husband Dan, Patty Kenney and husband Greg and Kathy Rose and husband Tom; stepdaughter, Linda Musick and husband Keith; stepsons, Leon Burgess and wife Becky, Donald Burgess and wife Connie, Michael Taylor and Eddie Taylor; brother, Harper Jordan and wife Nell and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mike Taylor, Leon Burgess, Donald Burgess, Keith Musick, Danny Musick and Terry Sells. Honorary pallbearers were Shane Taylor and James Kuikendall.

Debbie Ann Lange
LIVINGSTON – Funeral services for Debbie Ann Lange, 54, were held Thursday, May 24, 2007, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Boyd officiating. Burial followed in Menard Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Lange died Sunday, May 20, at her residence in Ace.
She was born Feb. 19, 1953 in Duncan, Okla., the daughter of Carlton and Dossie Bramblett Edwards, both of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Willie Max Lange Jr. of Ace; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carla and David Busby of Ace and Lisa and Andy Trahan of Mauriceville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Evelyn Edwards of Big Sandy, Jerry and Sharon Edwards of Elmore City, Okla., Kenneth Edwards of Elmore City, Okla. and John Edwards of Ace and 24 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Richard Edwards Jr., Donny Edwards, David Busby Jr., Josh Busby, John Edwards Jr. and Jeremy Edwards. Honorary pallbearer was Brandon Herridge.
