Dora Louise Hales Jane Louise Messner Anna Faye Armstrong LIVINGSTON — Anna Faye Armstrong, 96, of Groveton died on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 1, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with Lindell Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in Center Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Armstrong was born Sept. 26, 1912 in Camden to parents John and Virginia Laird. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas Benson Armstrong. She is survived by her son, Terry Armstrong and wife Lisa of Crosby; grandsons, Justin and Jake Armstrong of Crosby and sister, Charlotte Edge of Kingwood. He died on Oct. 29, 2008 in Livingston. A memorial service was held Friday, Oct. 31, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Hood officiating. Per his wishes, his cremains will be buried at Holly Grove Cemetery by his sister. Carlton is preceded in death by his baby daughter, Dee Williamson; father, Herman Williamson; his sister, Corliss (Williamson) Hiney and grandparents, George and Lissie Williamson and Addie and Avie Mae Collins. He is survived by his mother, Mary Helen (Williamson) Coker; stepfather, Billy Coker; daughter, Tammy Morehead and husband Doug of Bremond; sons, Carlton D. Williamson and wife Melinda of Clayton, Okla. and Willie V. Williamson of Wilburton, Okla.; grandson, Austin Williamson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; granddaughters, Taylor Williamson of Clayton, Okla. and Luci Williamson of Wilburton, Okla.; grandson, Josh Morehead of Bremond Okla.; nephews, Eric “Hiney” Kay of Redway, Calif. and Kevin “Hiney” Kay of Redway Calif.; his adopted sons, Shayne Morris of Clayton, Okla. and Darrin Morris of McAlester, Okla. and a host of special uncles, aunts, cousins and very special friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Alford officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Thacker was born May 31, 1938 in Nacogdoches to parents Robert E. Thacker and Lela Mae Owens Thacker. He was saved at 10 years of age at Hoya Hill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Louise Mosley. Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Graham and husband Ben of Katy; grandson, Corey Parker of Katy; granddaughter, Brittany Parker of Katy; sisters, Rachel McGee and husband Robert of Livingston and Nadine Ellerbe and husband Thomas of Huffman; brothers, Kenneth Thacker and wife Helen of Nacogdoches and David Thacker and wife Carol of Humble; the father of his grandchildren, Larry Parker of Katy; his half-sister, Sue Nell Barrentine of Humble; half-brother, Henry Poskey of Nacogdoches and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be James McGee, William Mosley, Rick Gothard, James Thacker, John Thacker and Stephen Reed. Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
