Charleen Carmel Parrish
Charleen Carmel Parrish, 68, of Livingston passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 in Lufkin. Graveside services were held in her honor Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 with Rev. Kevin Wood officiating. Charleen was born Sept. 13, 1939 in Corpus Christie to parents Charles and Marie McKenzie Gale. She married Elzie Parrish on Sept. 23, 1967 in Leggett. Charleen was a certified dietitian, and worked at several camps and churches around Livingston. She was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Livingston. She is survived by her loving family, husband Elzie Parrish, sons, Ronnie Babcock and wife Cindy of Athens, Lee Parrish and wife Elizabeth of Onalaska; daughter, Pam McCain and husband James of Lufkin; daughter, Lindsey Parrish of Onalaska; grandchildren, Lauren McCain of Dallas, Owen Babcock of Athens, Ashely Parrish of Franklin, and Katelyn Parrish of Onalaska. She is also survived by her sister, Geannie Pharris of Conroe, and several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers were David Babcock, Jerry Babcock, Owen Babcock, Felder Dubose Jr., Larry Lawrence, Jim Butler, and Joe McWhorter. Honorary pallbearers were Harlen Camp, Larry Clamon and Marlon Clamon, and also her Sunday School class at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you make a donations to the First Baptist Church Library fund. Cochran Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. Robert Leon Rash
Robert Leon Rash, 52, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center- Livingston, in Livingston. He is survived by his sons, Christopher Rash and Justin Rash; his mother and stepfather, Joyce Rash Nevinger and Tom; sister and brother-in-law, Risa and Glenn (Spanky) Ivy; brother and sisterin- law, Rayford and Kathy Rash; . Numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father, O.L. Rash, and greatnephew, Blake Thomas Gill. He was born June 28, 1956 in Livingston, Texas the son of O.L. and Joyce Hammett Rash. Funeral services will be held September 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. Graveside at Peebles cemetery in Livingston, Roy Cole will officiate. Milton Tanner
Milton Ray Tanner, 73, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 at his home in Livingston, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Jane Tanner; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dina Tanner; son and daughter-in-law, David and Angela Tanner; son and daughter in law, Donald and Krishana Durbin; daughters, Janna Durbin, Janet Durbin, brothers, Perry Tanner Jr., Alfred Tanner; sisters, Margaret Brackin, Renell Fondon, Judy Wheeler, Darlene Hampton; 10 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry Tanner Sr. and Seivel Collins Tanner; daughter, Belinda Theriot and his niece Julie Smith. He was born Aug. 13, 1935 in Liberty, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating.
