   Funeral services for Tommy Joe Moore, 66, of Flat Prairie, Texas were held Monday December 17, 2007 at 3:00 pm in the Groveton Funeral Home with Bro. Dee Queen officiating.  Interment followed in the Flat Prairie Cemetery.
   Tommy was born November 29, 1041 in Camden, Polk County, Texas and passed away Thursday December 13, 2007 in Lufkin, Texas. He was affiliated with the Zion Hill Baptist Church and was a Funeral Home Assistant at Groveton Funeral Home.
   Pallbearers were Keith Kesinger, Chancey Cleaver, Jerry Pruitt, Thomas Smith, William Smith, Nathan Holland, Clifford Moore, and Billy Moore.  Honorary pallbearers were Willard Holland, James “Stu” Parker, and Billy Conner.
    Preceding him in death are his daughter in law Sheri Moore; son in law Shane Simpson; father Burnett “Buck” Moore; sister Rosemary Pegoda; and brothers Paul and Jerry Moore.
     Survivor include his sons James M. Moore of Flat Prairie and Kenneth W. Moore of Splendora; daughter Lisa Simpson of Shepard; mother Mattie Moore of Flat Prairie; brothers and sisters in law David and Linda Moore of Crockett, Billy and Delores Moore of Possum Walk, and John Moore of Flat Prairie; sisters and brothers in law Martha and Johnny Smith of Flat Prairie and Cherian and Willard Holland of Flat Prairie; three grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
   Memorials may be made to the Flat Prairie Cemetery or the Zion Hill Cemetery.
Groveton Funeral Home

   Funeral services for Thomas Wayne Meshell, 59, of Boontown, Trinity County, Texas were held Monday December 17, 2007 at 11:00am in the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Edelin officiating.  Interment followed in the Boontown Cemetery.
    Wayne was born November 2, 1948 in Converse, LA and passed away Thursday Decem-ber 13, 2007 in Boontown. He was affiliated with Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a Formica Installer.
    Pallbearers were James Rosser, Billy Wayne Woods, Keith Meshell, Mark Meshell, Randy Meshell, and Joe Ebarb.  Honorary pallbearers were Alan LeBlanc and Gary Meshell.
    Survivors include his wife Linda Meshell of Boontown; sons and daughters in law Scotty and Maria Meshell of Woodlake,  Texas and  Jarrod and Kim Meshell of Centralia, Texas; daughter and son in law Melinda and Richard Voelker of Boontown; brothers and sisters in law Clayton and Barbara Meshell of Splendora and J. C. and Margie Meshell of Belmont, La; sister Mary Jane Anderson of Spring, Texas; sister and brother in law Belva Jean and Leroy LeBlanc of Wakefield, nine grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Groveton Funeral Home 

   Funeral services for Jacob Paul Howard, 19, of Lovelady, were held Friday, December 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lovelady Old Gym with Rev. Scott Matthews, Rev. Mitchell Kleckley, Coach Kerry Therwhanger and Coach Darryl Joyner officiating.  Interment followed in the Ellis Prairie Cemetery.
  Jacob passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Richland Creek in Navarro County.  Jacob was born September 6, 1988 in Livingston, Texas and he had lived in Lovelady for the past 15 years.  He was a 2007 graduate of Lovelady High School where he was a stellar athlete and was currently attending Navarro College in Corsicana. 
   Survivors include his parents Mitzi and Ronald Thompson of Lovelady; father Ralph Howard and wife, Renee and family of Livingston; sisters Alyssa Smith of Houston and April Howard of College Station; brothers:  Keith Howard and wife Cara of Livingston and  Zane Howard of Livingston; nieces:  Kyndall and Kaegan of Livingston; grand-parents Charlotte and Fred Stefka of Livingston,  Patricia Thompson of Lovelady and J W and Eloise Howard of Livingston; aunts and uncles Monica Edwards of Bryan, Gail Thompson of Lovelady, Lynette and Richard Lilley of Splendora and Regina Chambless of Livingston; cousins Kyle Schaeffer of College Station Lindsey and Brianna Edwards of Bryan,Ariel Lilley of Splendora, Charlene Chambless of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael Chambless of Atlanta, Georgia, Erica Chambless of New York, Jonathan, Dustan and Alex Thompson of Lovelady;  and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jacob Howard Athletic Scholarship Fund, c/o Lovelady State Bank, P. O. Box 220, Lovelady, Texas  75851
