ROY DUDLEY STUBBLEFIELD
    Funeral services for Mr. Stubblefield, 81, of Groveton were held on February 5, 2008 at First Baptist Church, Groveton with Rev. Lester McAdams officiating. Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery.
   Mr. Stubblefield was born September 29, 1926 in Groveton, Texas and passed away Sunday February 3, 2008 in Lufkin, Texas. He served his country in the US Army, had lived in Trinity County all his life, was retired after many years of service at the Department of Transportation, and was a member of  Josserand Baptist Church.
   Survivors include his step-daughter, Jimmie Elaine Benton; step-son, Oscar Maurice Mathis and wife Dorrece; sister, Evelyn Bartholomeu; special nephew, Lloyd Stubblefield and wife Margaret; several step-grand-children and step great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
   He is preceded in death by his parents, Barnes and Tennie Reynolds Stubblefield; wife, Wilma Stubblefield; and brother, Raymond Stubblefield.
